The restaurant was beautiful, service was decent but not to standard. The food was presented well but flavor was horrible. I had the chicken fajitas that were strait grilled chicken with absolutely no flavor. With a side of rice, and charro beans that were actually very good.

My 2-night hotel stay at La Posada included an "all American breakfast". It was served in a styrofoam box with plastic utensils. When I asked if we could have the eggs cooked differently the answer was scrambled only. No choice of meat even though others meats such as sausage were on the menu. Only one piece of toast and dried-out refried beans. They wouldn't allow for any changes and wouldn't allow for upgrading to other menu options. Tomorrow we have our second night's free breakfast and we will let them stick it you know where. Our hotel stay started out nice only to have front desk people tell me it's not their problem and to take it up with the management of the restaurant which was another company. Obviously they are happy with the deal they have with US Border Patrol personal and are making this like a military need hall. With Laredo area businesses looking so bleak, La Posada is grabbing what they can and will continue to go downhill. Our plan was to have lunch and dinner here and their other restaurant, but instead we are checking out at the crack of dawn and reading elsewhere.

We waited one hour and 15 minutes to get our food at our table. There was one waitress on the floor and one bus boy. She did her job. The kitchen was the one that was slow and the meal was nothing exceptional.
