5/5 Stars – Absolute Gem Right Around the Corner!
I recently stopped by Kolache Bakery and wow, what a delightful find! Living in Houston, it’s such a treat to have authentic, mouthwatering kolaches so conveniently close by—no long drive needed.
We tried the classic cream cheese kolache, the cherry cream cheese, and their king cake cinnamon rolls, and every single one was phenomenal. The dough was perfectly soft, fluffy, and fresh-baked, with just the right amount of sweetness. The cream cheese filling was rich, creamy, and not overly sweet, while the cherry added that perfect tangy burst of fruit flavor. And those king cake cinnamon rolls? They were next-level—swirled with warm cinnamon, topped beautifully, and tasting like a festive celebration in every bite. Everything tasted so authentic and made with care; it’s clear they know their Czech-Texas roots!
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—smiles all around, quick service, and they made us feel right at home. As a bonus, discovering the little soda shop inside was such a nice surprise—grabbed a cold drink to go with our pastries, and it rounded out the experience perfectly.
If you’re craving real-deal kolaches that hit all the right spots, do yourself a favor and swing by Kolache Bakery. We’ll definitely be back soon (probably way too often!). Highly recommend—Houston’s hidden treasure for breakfast or a sweet treat! 🚀🥐✨

I hadn't been by in about a year, they used to be the best place to get cinnamon rolls. This time they gave me a cinnamon roll in a plastic container. It had clearly been sitting awhile inside the container and the bottom of the cinnamon was soggy. This used to be worth the long drive to get, but I will not be going back.

The reason i gave 3 starsis because the menu changed. They sell the kolaches individually, not by the dozen if you want like they used to and they are smaller. But they are still really good.

Kolache Bakery is hands down one of the best spots around! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and the smell of fresh-baked goodness. The staff is always so friendly and truly makes you feel welcome every time.
Their savory Klobosniks are absolutely incredible: flaky, flavorful, and filled to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the cinnamon rolls… soft, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Every bite tastes homemade with love.
The owners, Travis and Taylor, are doing an outstanding job running this place. Their dedication to quality and customer care really shines through in every detail, from the food to the service to the atmosphere.
If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by Kolache Bakery. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

Love this place so cute and yummy things
So fresh and absolutely AMAZING!!! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!
What a delight!! I asked Taylor, the owner, to just give me a huge box of anything she picked and everything was AMAZING. She put in an assortment of every flavor of the fruit kolaches. Every single one was fantastic, the dough is addicting. She added the ham and cheese and sausage kolaches, we couldn’t stop eating. She also added a long pastry with (I think) raspberry filling and a little bit of frosting. I have no idea what it was but it was divine, I took a picture to make sure we get it again next time! Thank you Taylor, we can’t wait to come back and try everything else you have!

if you want to be served by a bully be my guest. the owner of the business finds it fitting to put bad reviews on business who don't agree with them and gets all their friends to do the same. I haven't had this bakeries services but I believe baking absorbs the energy of those who make it so be careful before consuming hatred.
My husband and I stopped by on the way out of town to go camping. We had to sample almost everything. The dough it is soft and the light, and the fruit flavors were not too sweet. They tasted like fresh, real fruit and not just filling off the shelf from a jar. We also sampled the sausage & beef kolache, which were both excellent! We highly recommend Kolache bakery and will be happy to frequent this gem regularly!! We had the special dreamsicle cinnamon roll. Ooooommmggggg....sooooo delish!!! The owners and team are friendly, inviting and attentive!!!
Made a special detour on the way to Galveston. We grew up eating these when we were in Spring Branch. So glad they are reopened. Definitely ordering ahead next time!
The Polish sausage with jalapeno and cheese kolache should be on the menu. It's absolutely worth trying!
The best of the best. So flakey and fresh.
