Great atmosphere. Any place that has a young man dressed in a gator outfit advertising by the side of the road has my business. Had the blackened catfish which was cooked to perfection. Don’t miss out on the boudin balls. Staff was very pleasant and inviting.

‍ Foodie post alert here!!! ‍ So, the wife and I went out for a date night dinner and decided to go and try out The Lost Cajun at FM 646 in League City (in the strip behind Chik-Fil-A)...! It has been there for a while now, and we have been wanting to try it out, but just never had the chance. Well, I'm glad that we went because their food was really good! They started out by bringing us a little serving board with 6 little cup samples of some of their dishes. Our board had the Seafood gumbo, Chicken and sausage gumbo, Jambalaya, Lobster bisque, Red beans and rice, and Crawfish etouffee. They were all very tasty, and we liked the little sample before buying deal. For appetizers, we got the fried boudin balls and zydeco shrimp. The boudin balls had a nice crunchy crust, stuffed with hot boudin and came with their cajun sauce dip, which had a very nice flavor. The zydeco shrimp was little fried shrimps that had a nice flavored sauce that they were tossed in. I liked them dipped in that cajun sauce that came with the boudin balls. For our meals, we decided to go with the Shrimp and grits, the Cat-toufee, and a cup of Seafood gumbo. Maaannnn, them dishes were hittin'...!!! The Shrimp were grilled nicely, and the grits were soooo creamy and flavorful that I could've just kept eating them spoonful by spoonful! The Cat-touffe had catfish that had a great crispy fried coating and was cooked perfectly, and the crawfish etouffee it was covered in DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It came on top of rice, and had some little garlic bread squares that accompanied the dish well. That seafood gumbo was very flavorful, and was a nice little sidecar to our dishes...! We didn't get a full bowl because of all the other food we ordered, but that sample board had us wanting more! We ordered a hurricane drink and it was good, but I didn't get a pic of that because I was too focused on that grub, mayne...!!! We also ordered the beignets for dessert, and I guess that they were exactly what beignets are supposed to taste like? ‍ Lol!!! Sorry Andrew Gates... I say this because I'm a) Hispanic and b) from Texas, so for those who know.. what are sopapillas??? Beignets with honey, right...??? ‍‍‍ I mean, minus the honey factor, they came out hot and fresh, nicely coated with powdered sugar, and had a nice crunch to them. I say this because they do not have honey there, and I guess it is a "Cardinal sin" to ask for it to put on your beignets (*cough* *cough* .. sopapillas! LMMAO! ) I'm just saying this to tell you to sneak your own honey in there if you decide to order the beignets, in case you are like me... but they were very good! All in all, we are definitely planning to go back there soon! And, our waitress, Shayn, gave us excellent service, as she was very attentive and friendly! Go and give this place a try if you are looking for some good cajun food, and like saving a little dough (if you are a BAHFL card holder.. 10% off orders of groups of four!) Thanks, Jennifer Lopez Fuller! Stay hungry and adventurous...!!!

I ordered a single beignet and it was hollow and hard just like a shell. The rest of my food I ordered was just okay. We had a crispy shrimp sandwich which was probably the best out of the whole order. My Small Seafood plate was just okay, it came with 2 shrimp, 2 small fish strips, and 2 crab balls and loads of fries. This was my first time trying this place, I don’t think I will come here again. All together everything was $40 and pretty disappointing.

Casual dress fun atmosphere friendly staff. Food was prepared hot and fresh delivered to our table took a friend for his birthday. Lunch time no wait he had the jambalaya said it was very good with plenty of spicy. I tried the fried shrimp and catfish it was tasty and enough for an average eater I had some left over. I enjoyed the gumbo and fried okra. I ordered him the birthday beignet he said it was one of the better ones he has had. Over all not a bad lunch place.

Enough good things cannot be said about this place. The food, the service, the atmosphere just everything was amazing. They even offer you a sample board of their gumbo's, and beans and such. And the whole staff was very attentive to the table not just your server. Really tasted like I was eating down on Bourbon again. And the beignets melted in your mouth. We will definitely be going here again whenever we're in the area. Thank you all so much for a great meal.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I lived in Nola for 3 years and have never found food here in setx like this place. The food was fresh, and you could tell that it was homemade. The potato salad was amazing the veggies in it had the best crisp. The shrimp and grits had the best spice. My husband had the stir fry and the veggies in it also had a very nice crunch. The fish was blackened and perfect spice. I do not live in the area but I can promise you I will be back. Oh and they also have there own HOT SAUCE!! Which was Bomb. Also, I need to shout out to the staff not only was the service too notch, but the staff was so damn nice. My 2 year old couldn’t stop laughing with them. They even gave her a pair of Mardi Gras beads. I will post pics so you can see for yourself how good this food was.

No chicken and very little sausage in the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Asked my server where chicken is? So she gets me another one and still no chicken. So I ask the manager and he tells me that they must not have stirred it.

I'm not a Cajun but I felt like Cajun family when I tried this place today. The decor is great and the Zydeco music brought back memories of listening to Washboard Willie at Silver Dollar City. The people are very friendly and even started us with a sample platter so we could try a bite of each of their Cajun classics. I loved the lobster bisque so I ordered it with the catfish over rice called Catoufe .The hubs said the Voodoo pasta was tasty and we also had the gator bites. All great food and we will be back!

Great food! Loved the free samples of their favorites! Wife was sold on the spicy chicken gumbo! We hade the sampler appetizers with gator bites, crab balls and fried pickles! All the kids loved them! I had the fried fish and shrimp plate! So much food, my kids help me finish my plate! Everything g was amazing especially service! We were looking for something new in the area and so glad we gave this place a shot! Definitely coming back to enjoy some Abita beer

Seafood gumbo was perfect not a big fan of okra in my gumbo but it was big enough to avoid. Catfish was also good. Service was great. Now for the negative shrimp we're over cooked and chewy, price is on the high side and quality of food is middle of the road. With all that being said I will give them another try, so all in all it must have not been to bad. Forgot to take pics.

After driving around in several circles trying to find the restaurant, because they are rebuilding the freeway, we finally found it. There was only one other couple there. The service was WONDERFUL the food was very good also but I'm afraid they have nearby two other Cajun places and major construction. My problem was making up my mind what I wanted since I am on a diet and most food was fried. They were willing to switch out sides to make it work. The portions were too large so I hade a take home bag for tonight also

One of the best Lunches I've had in awhile! Servers were upbeat and very knowledgeable about the Menu items! The food was spot on! No wait, and at your table when you need them but certainly aren't Hovering over you! 5 Star easily!!!
