Food is both beautiful and delicious (best in the area), decor is great, and service is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and start with the shishito peppers!!
Just stopped by Dau’s for dinner tonight. The staff is so friendly! As usual, it was amazing! Dau always prepares the tastiest sush! We love the atmosphere And the music… it feels like you’re hanging out with friends. I could not recommend this place more!

Dau Sushi is a new restaurant in Leander. It offers amazing food, including fried tofu, spicy edamame, fantastic sushi, and awesome beef teriyaki. The restaurant is beautiful. As a treasure for sushi enthusiasts who are hard to impress, Dau offers exquisite flavors, fresh quality fish, and wonderful presentation. The nigiri is very good, and the fish is fresh, not just pulled out of the freezer. The sushi rice is done right. The dining area has a sushi bar staged as the main focal point, a traditional Japanese 居酒屋 izakaya layout. The lighting, decor, and lanterns hanging from the ceiling are done tastefully, giving off a cozy, clean and chic-minimalist feeling. The price point is on the higher side, but with the quality of food and service, it is understandable. This level of quality in the middle of Leander TX is very rare. Every dish is loved, and the chef special roll is instantly loved. It is a great spot for lunch with the Chef's special Nigiri, Gyoza, house salad, and miso soup. The food is high quality, and the staff is warm and welcoming. It is great food for a reasonable price with a nice selection of sake. For the best tables during the weekend, definitely make a reservation. For lunch, the Amy roll, the I Love Hamachi, and the Summer roll are all delicious. The Creme Brulee for dessert is also a hit.
