Best African food in Austin hands down! Very tasty, and you can tell they always use fresh ingredients. Highly recommend 10/10

Poor service

I’m a regular customer here, and I order all the time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and high quality. But I’ve noticed there are some fake reviews popping up, clearly from competitors trying to discredit this place.

The commenter below me, Lilian, is a perfect example. First, they posted a fake review with an image of a Chinese dish that wasn’t even from this restaurant. The owners quickly found out that the image was actually from a 2022 Reddit post. Once they were called out, they changed out the image and grabbed a Moi Moi picture straight from this restaurant’s Instagram something they never even ordered themselves!

It’s obvious this is just competition trying to spread lies, but real customers know the truth. This place serves the best, healthiest food, which is exactly why haters are resorting to fake reviews. Just look at all the real happy customer reviews compared to these fakes. Don’t fall for it! This just gives us more reason to keep ordering from this amazing place and enjoying their wonderful dishes !

I ordered food from here , it was terrible , there was life worm inside the moi moi , can you imagine omg , everyone run, I’m very sick right now from food poisoning. I’m going through a lot . Please don’t order food from here if you care for your life . Omg people are wicked

Worst experience ever, you would regret tasting it.

The food here is absolutely amazing! Every dish is packed with authentic flavors, and you can tell it’s made with care and love. The service was also wonderful, friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family!

This review is long overdue !!! Mgbeke village hut is literally the only place in Austin that I’ll get Nigerian food from . You can taste the freshness and quality of the food every time, the consistency is the best and reassures me every time I order, the customer service is impeccable and they have gained a lifetime customer. I’ll literally put anyone on to them if they are seeking out Nigerian food.

There’s so much to share but i’ll leave it at this: Mgbeke Village Hut is the best Nigerian restaurant I’ve experienced in all of America.The food is the closest thing to Nigerian made food. Eating food from this place makes me feel like I’m back home.I will highly recommend Mgbeke as your go to restaurant for all your tasty African food orders, as it is for us.The jollof, with Panla fish, is the best I’ve had in all of Texas.
