My husband and I had gone for dinner, on a weeknight, and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant’s food, service, and atmosphere. It’s a nice, clean, and casual restaurant. We were kindly greeted and seated at a booth. Our server was friendly and checked in on us, regularly. The chips and salsas came out and were delicious! We asked for a spicy salsa and she brought out the best spicy salsa we have tried, at a Mexican restaurant, in the whole DFW area. We ordered one vegetarian burrito bowl with added fajitas and the veggie enchiladas. Both dishes were flavorful and tasted very fresh. Tim, the owner, and his team, really know how to make and serve homemade recipes, with the highest quality ingredients. We spoke to Tim and suggested that they add a few more options for vegetarians and he said he would work on getting a few more on the menu. We will definitely be going back for more meals!

A different Mexican restaurant. Not bad, but not your standard fare. Some will like for unique flavors, but dishes and flavors are not what we expected.

I got there and order the Baja fish tacos and I know they had black refried beans so I told them to change that to refried pinto beans and they came out with the black beans, I ordered a Coke and it was flat so I said I want non-sweet iced tea and they brought me out sweet iced tea and the service was terrible One of the young waitresses was sitting down looking at her phone the whole time and we've got a big group of people so we need chips hot sauce and she was just in her own world, and not refilling drinks, I had to ask multiple times for chips and hot sauce, food was all right but I won't be going back

First time here and new to the Dallas area. Came here on a whim, as there are so many Mexican places to try in the area. This has by far the best food I’ve had since moving here in March. Don’t really care if no one believes me, as it will stay slow at 5 so I can always get a seat!

I liked the salsa and beans, the queso was too runny and not thick. The tacos are okay. The chips were stale. Overall, everything was okay.

This place has potential to be great but was just ok. The host and manager were friendly, the server was a little slow with service. Chips and salsa served with refried beans had good flavor but chips were a little stale. Queso was thin. Taco plate had tasty rice and black beans but tacos lacked flavor. The atmosphere and dishes are beautiful and the music videos playing was fun.

The food was amazing, the salsa was some of the best I've had. The gentleman that seated us was great and he actually waited on us more than our server. The waitress was not very attentive but every thing else was spot on.

5 stars for the service, 1 star for the food. Our server was great, but the 'OMG' burrito was anything but. It was served cold and tasted incredibly salty. I felt bad bringing it up because the staff was so nice, but the kitchen missed the mark completely.

I hadn’t been to Chante in almost two years since I moved out of state. I was back in town and excited to revisit one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, but unfortunately, this place has gone downhill tremendously.

The food tastes completely different and nowhere near as good as I remembered. What really disappointed me, though, was the customer service. My utensils were dirty, so I asked the server if they had plastic utensils. She told me they didn’t offer any, which confused me because I assumed customers ordering takeout receive plastic utensils. She said no, so I asked to speak with the manager to confirm.

The manager, Tim, was at the bar and confirmed the same thing, but his attitude was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Instead of trying to address the concern, he came across as dismissive and unfriendly.

What really surprised me was how empty the restaurant was. Chante used to be packed and busy whenever I came here, and after this experience, I can understand why things seem to have changed. The atmosphere, service, and food quality just aren’t what they used to be.

I truly miss the old Chante. The staff used to be welcoming, and the food was much better. Sadly, after this experience, I won’t be returning.
