630 pm arrival 40 minutes before food was served. Waiter was absent and had to flag down other waitresses to check on food and get a check. Combination Fajitas for 2 was good. Hot and fresh.
The fried pickles were mostly batter. Very thinly sliced pickles and very salty. Would not order those again. Chicken fried steak and sides were great - carrots, okra, Cowboy beans. Never got any cornbread. We were told the batch was very hard, not recommended, but a new batch wasn’t finished during our stay.
I attended a company event last night at Prairie House. Great food, excellent staff! Payton, in particular, shined brightly as she guided our group; from explaining the food options to being our photographer at the end, Payton was fun and professional. I'll definitely come back and recommend Prairie House to my friends!
