Peek in the window and you'll see its packed with customers which says more than I could ever say. Real authentic home cooking, dinners with three sides and cornbread. Famous for their wide selection of pies and Sunday breakfasts. Once got two biscuits and gravy, not realizing they would be massive size.
Do not forget about this awesome chicken fried steak sandwich!! So many awesome things to eat here but this incredible bite is often missed. Roast beef is incredible too. Order with mashed potatoes, carrots and fried okra or salad for the best meal ever. Spinach and mushroom omelet, oh yeah. The patty melt on rye bread... Omg, so good!! Onion rings are awesome. Fries need to ask for extra crispy.
Food was really tasty. We especially loved the taste of the bacon, pancakes, and French toast. We ordered decaf coffee and both of us used the little creamer packets (International Delight, maybe) and that tasted awful, but we only needed the coffee to warm up after the cold outside, so neither of us finished it. We didn't tell our server about it. I'm sure they would have replaced the coffee/creamer. Very nice staff throughout. And there are regulars there who were...
