Marinos Italian Pasta & Pizza

Being from New York I guess my expectations were too high. This pizza was horrible , cheese was nasty , had a bad reaction to it , won’t be going back , just have to accept that pizza in Texas is not good , especially when it says New York style.

We ordered a pizza delivery from Marinos. It was still hot when we got it and everything about it was great. Excellent crust, good toppings and plenty of them, and we sauce was as good as my mom's (well, almost - in case she reads this 😂).

While the pizza is good, they continually ignore my requests for tape/sticker on pizza boxes to prevent any tampering or contamination from driver environments (box can accidently open). Not worth the risk.

Perhaps there was a change in ownership or staff but the food is completely different than it used to be. In a bad way. The pizza was missing toppings. Not less toppings but they completely left toppings out. They gave less wings than ordered. The recipe for the Alfredo and the meat sauce are completely different and not appealing. Portions of the sauces have decreased by half at least. A shame as this place used to be great for to go orders.

They have tables and chairs, but don't want you to use them, they only want to go orders. Not everyone wants to eat in the car when traveling

Mediocre….

That’s how would describe this place. Apparently they also serve Mexican food. Italian food is terrible, if their main food is bad, I have low expectations of their Mexican food

Fiance and I stopped by for lunch. We shared a plate and so glad we did. Ordered the chicken parmigiana for us to share. When I say mediocre i absolutely mean that . The chicken tasted frozen and was soggy either from being microwaved or just drowned in low quality “Prego” sauce. Pasta was bad, didn’t even use bronze die cut and tasted like cheap store bought pasta, pasta sauce was horrible, looked light red instead of a rich dark red color. FLAVORLESS, literally the only thing I could taste was shitty Kraft fake Parmesan cheese (green bottle), could taste no acidity or sweetness from the sauce, chicken was sloppy, charged $2 for a 12oz can of A&W, and fed me literal garbage. Ingredients was poor quality

Use better ingredients, make your own pasta sauce. It’s cheaper and tastes way better. I’ll even give you a recipe

Cento San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes
Fresh basil
Parmigiano Regianno (real cheese)
Good quality olive oil
Salt to taste

That alone will elevate the flavor

Restaurant itself was super small. Only two 2-people tables and one 6-people table

This is my second order from Marinos through uber eats
First time was 08/12. Pizza was excellent
Second time was 08/23. Ordered the same pizza but, look and taste are completely different.

Beware of their “new online ordering” delivery service handled directly by them per their website. If they don’t have drivers they will cancel your order and debit your account anyway. We had $75 order cancelled and they didn’t try to make it right. First and last time trying this place. They should’ve blocked delivery on their website so customers would know it’s pick up only. It’s a horrible service that should not be allowed if they can’t deliver on their promise. Most people don’t have another $75 to eat. Very disappointed. Shame on this business!!

Everything is good!
Their pizzas run thin and they use a great cheese quality/mix. All the pastas are great (and quick), homely little venue. Timely and kind too!

Terrible is an understatement. Delivered cold and could get more cheese and sausage on a gas station pizza. Paid way too much for what they sent as pizza. Look at the photos and see how little toppings and cheese are on their pizza

I don’t often leave reviews but for what I paid for this meal for my family I expected more. Awful is an understatement. It was so bad that there’s nothing I can say to describe the food we forced ourselves to eat. If you like yourself go somewhere else. If you love your family try a different place. I am 2nd guessing every decision I have ever made.
