I fell hard for roti buns in Indonesia about 10 years ago, and my wife and I have often reminisced about those fluffy, buttery, semi-sweet marvels, and talked about how perfect they are as a breakfast food. However, we were never able to find them anywhere... until now.
PappaRoti doesn't quite live up to the Indonesian roti chains (Rotiboy and Rotio), but it's still absolutely delicious. I've only tried the signature bun, and today I had some chai with it. The chai is excellent - very authentic, nicely and not too sweet (like it is in just about every coffee place). The service is also always friendly and helpful.
If it was closer to home this place would be dangerous!

Tucked away at a little corner is a store that sells the best, warm and fresh coffee buns. I’ve had coffee buns before at the bakeries but never cared for them until I’ve tried it here. My husband and I originally ordered 2 karak teas (their signature) which were hot and not too sweet; a signature bun and a breakfast bun with ashta and honey. We devoured the buns within seconds and wanted more. The barista told us about a free bun reward if you get their app so we had to get 2 more buns. They’ve been opened for a year now and I’m kicking myself for not finding it sooner.

The service was excellent, especially from a staff member named Lucky—she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit.
