We went to the ramen Akita with the family for lunch. Although there was only one person - owner, chef?- the service was attentive and personable. The menu was simple, which IMO, is preferable compared to a long list and the food/ramen was excellent. I tried the chicken karaage and spicy garlic chicken ramen. The broth was savory and flavorful and the texture of the ramen was just right.

The chief and the bartender/waiter are polite and attentive. However, they seem to be the only two people working there, and it takes quite some time for them to clean up as well as to prepare for meals.
Compare to other ramen places in DFW, the price is a little high and the ramen is very salty. However, the broth is quite good.
In general, it may be still worth it if you are close to this restaurant and want to have a quality ramen.

The ramen is just amazing. I got the lunch special that comes with half order of gyoza and karaage and ramen. I ordered the garlic pork broth ramen and hit the spot!

My new favorite ramen spot. The pork broth ramen was well balanced and savory. Noodles were and chewy and perfect. The pork belly was thick cut and had amazing flavor. I will be coming here again.

I got the “Wagyu beef Japanese Yakiniku rice bowl” delivered and it may have been the worst meal I’ve ever ate in my life. Visually, it looked like something out of kitchen nightmares. 5 small pieces of beef that were extremely chewy and mainly fat. The rest of the dish was a few cups of rice covered in sauce and the bottom half of rice was swimming in a thick layer of orange oil. Also beyond salty and I’m not very sensitive to salt. For $25 is robbery, you couldn’t pay me to eat here.
Y’all… I just had the spicy garlic chicken ramen at Akira and I’m actually speechless!First of all, that broth?? Rich. Spicy. Garlicky. It hit like a warm hug and a mic drop at the same time. The chicken karage was like soya glazed crispy chicken which was also so good!

Is it just me? I find the broth too salty. I like the flavor and noodle texture and want this business to continue, but I didn't enjoy it when I dined for dinner last Saturday. I got their ramen and it was so salty I couldn't finish my noodles either 😭
Everything was just amazing. Best authentic ramen I've had so far in DFW area. The chef was so nice. He tried making something with beef and was generous enough to let everyone try it out with their special BBQ sauce. Must visit according to me.

I got the spicy garlic chicken ramen and it was out of this world. Might be my newest favorite ramen in DFW. Definitely coming back and would 10/10 recommend.
The spicy garlic ramen tastes like it was crafted to perfection. Sitting at the bar offers a front-row seat to the culinary artistry—each ingredient cooked separately with care. The eggs are a highlight, perfectly soft-boiled with a creamy, golden center. The broth is rich, bold, and full of flavor with just the right kick of spice. This place is always my go-to spot. Thank you
This place was amazing. Cute little hole in the wall, fantastic Raman, incredible service.
The garlic pork ramen broth is the best I’ve ever had. I love that the owner is in the kitchen and our serving his guests. He recognizes us every time we come and he’s so nice. Best ramen!
Whenever we are on this side of town we eat here. Always so good
