I rarely write reviews but this BBQ call for it. It is the best BBQ in Texas, as far as I’m concerned. It’s taken 17 years after moving to TX to finally discover the best. Better late than never! I intend to purchase every time I’m in the area. The banana pudding alone is worth the hour long trip from my location. The chicken, brisket, boudin, beans and slaw are absolutely top-notch. Grateful to have found it and the owner is very nice.

We had passed this place dozens of times and was excited to try it. There’s no place to sit and eat. We would have had to sit in the car and eat. Nope. By time we would have taken anything home it would have been cold. Guess we’ll never get the chance now.

Not sure who hurt the fella below. He wouldn't know good bbq evan if it hit em in the face. Hands down the best LOCAL bbq. I recommend the sliced brisket sandwiches and sausage. Rye resident and loyal customer.

Heard the hype, and thought I was about to experience some legendary BBQ. Spoiler alert: I didn’t.
The chicken was so over-smoked it practically disintegrated on contact—think pulled chicken soup with a mystery flavor I can only describe as “campfire chowder.”
The sausage? Way over-seasoned and had the texture of shredded brisket wrapped in regret. And the potato salad... I don’t know what crime was committed there, but it tasted like someone tried to reinvent it without ever actually eating real potato salad before.
If folks around here think this is great BBQ, bless their hearts—they must think microwave ribs are gourmet. Whoever’s running the smoker should probably stick to feeding friends at backyard parties and leave the restaurant game to the pros.
