“This place is right around the corner from my job, as much as I love that it’s not too far- I really like their quesadillas. I always get the Chicharron and Barbacoa on flour tortilla, and they never disappoint. Also, the aguas frescas are good! I recommended them to my coworkers and they like them too. “We headed to Liberty for Friday Night Lights from Orange and settled on Jax since the boys wanted burgers!
We waited a few minutes in line to ordered and picked up at the counter when our named was called. They had a nice salad bar and everything you needed was self serve at the bar.
It only took about 15 minutes to get our food after ordering. I had the fried fish and coleslaw. It was a cornmeal type batter and tasted very fresh and coleslaw was very good too.
The boys ended up ordering the grilled cheese and corn dog. ??‍♀️ They said everything was delicious and enjoyed the crispy wedge french fries.

We took advantage of the ice cream selection too (eight flavors) and it was delicious. One had the Superman (vanilla with food coloring) and two had the strawberry. ?

I would highly recommend Jax if you are in Liberty, Texas. The ladies working had been busy all afternoon with Bears fans coming into town and they were polite and helpful.”

“From the stafff to the food, Peublos is my go to when I am in liberty. The staff repeatedly will check on you & make sure you have what you need. I am not a person who likes to chase down a waiter/waitress for something. I'm greatful I do not have too here, and food & drinks are amazing. Nice, clean, fun restaurant!”

“Wonderful local eatery with consistently excellent food quality. My favorite is the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup lunch special and their vegetable soup. I call ahead and drive in town from Hardin just for that when I can! The Chocolate Italian cream cake an amazing tasty treat. The owner and staff are always attentive and friendly. Liberty is blessed!”

“They accommodated our large group of teenagers with 30 minutes notice. The food was fresh and obviously made from scratch. All 25 orders were out very quickly, and the orders were all correct!!! (Hard with a big group.) Not a single complaint from one person, the burgers were to die for. The breakfast dishes received huge compliments. I have never seen this group clean so many plates!”

“I got food for dine in by myself. I got a 12 inch steak and cheese on the cheese break with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, salt and pepper and mayo. The employees were kind. Some of the tables were a little dirty but I cleaned the one I sat at. I also got two macadamian cookies. My food was great. Cookies were amazing of course. The best ever! Would go back of course.”

“The parking lot was full but there was still plenty of seating and awesome hot food for a great Sunday lunch. Many of the items on the buffet were good for low carb diets.

Dietary restrictions: Great for low carb as they had several meat selections and many vegetables. The salad bar was great too!”

“It almost makes me cry how good the people are that work here are. I came in the store from the heat yesterday with extreme chest pains. Come to find out my heart rate was almost 130 beats per minute. I sat down and I could not get up to order a drink to cool down. There was an employee on break, and I asked her if I give her money if she could buy a drink for me, and she did. My heart rate went down to 128, and then down to 126, and then down to 86. She needs to be recognized for saving my life. It's very difficult living outside and the people that work here are all always good people to every single customer and guest. GOD bless you good people. Thank you for helping me get my heart rate down and cooling me down. Thank you.
Also, sometimes they blare the music so loud you can't hear the phone right next to your ear, and sometimes they make it so cold inside the restaurant that you can't eat food comfortably.

“It's a small town chicken shack. Their food is better than any other chicken place. Service in Liberty was nice and accommodating. Big smiles and great service even right in the middle of buffet time.

Parking: All good, don't freak. It could accommodate a couple trailer trucks.”

“I was very surprised how good the meals were. A lot on the plate! The tea was too weak, but they said they would make it stronger for me when I returned. I got onion rings, fried mushrooms, shrimp, catfish. We ate leftovers for 2 days. FYI, the donut shop next door is theirs and they are good also.”

I wanted to make sure that someone knew that not only was the food great but the service was outstanding. The staff was very accommodating and responsive.
