I normally stop by on my way to work to get me something for lunch. Everything is normally great. The last three times i have gotten mess over. My visit today took the cake. I ordered the lunch special with no coleslaw nor hush puppies just more fried orka. I received hush puppies(i dont eat) french fry’s, orka and THREE nugget(pieces of fish)

When we've eaten here the food was good and plentiful, service a little slow and good country feel. BUT...call before you make the trip to see if they are actually open. Twice we have driven over 20 miles for dinner to find it closed.

If you haven't tried their easy available frozen crayfish pot pie. You need to run!! Best pot pie in town. My wife tried to duplicate and was mad because it wasn't the same. We live this pie!

This is my favorite country restaurant! The food is awesome, the staff are the greatest and the atmosphere is pure country! If you ever in the area, don't miss this place. Breakfast, lunch and dinner... Oh, and be sure to try out the pie, yum-yum!

My favorite breakfast place in the area. The staff is fantastic, the food is delicious and their shirts are funny. Great decor. We drive 40 min to go here and eat!

Friday early evening visit.
The pork died in vain.
Loud, echoes, uncomfortable hard wood chairs, made me nostalgic for the school cafeteria, table wasn't bussed (nor were the tables nearby). SLOOOW! Waitress was pleasant, but overwhelmed. Couldn't multi task or prioritize. Did I mention how long it took between each phase? 20 minutes on average... except waiting for our food- the tables on either side of us, Who were seated after us, got theirs long before we got ours.
The food was bad. Vegetables mushy overdone. Pork chops were leather boot tongues lightly paneled with plywood, the chicken fried chicken breading disintegrating in the flood of gravy. Due to the humidity the salt Shaker had to be beaten into doing its job.
But at least the bottled catsup, fries & rolls were tasty.
Then: the 25 minute wait for our desert order... & we were told the item we ordered only had two servings, but we passed the pie case & spotted several more.
