I had the link plate and it was delicious and the desert cheese cake was fantastic. My first and will definitely be going back. Awesome portions and it delicious the day. Definitely Recommend. 😃
I live in Wisconsin but come to Livingston often to visit my mom. There is no way I am going to miss at least one trip to Florida's Kitchen every time I'm in town. I have never eaten better nor felt so welcome at any other restaurant!

Florida's Kitchen is a family-owned restaurant in the Lake Livingston area, offering a warm and friendly dinner atmosphere. The staff greets guests with a smile and seats them promptly, giving plenty of time to look over the menu. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including BBQ, shrimp, catfish, chicken fried steak, and homemade cakes. The catfish is especially praised for its excellence, considered the best fried catfish within 100 miles. Many visitors also enjoy the beef ribs and desserts like pecan pie and carrot cake, which are popular but sometimes sell out. Guests can choose from a range of sides such as salads and fries, with salads described as large and served with homemade ranch dressing and thousand island. The menu features Texas style favorites, including BBQ chicken with two sides, big salads, and Texas toast. Visitors often mention the generous portions that lead to leftovers, and the friendly atmosphere with lots of laughter makes it a favorite for families and travelers passing through Livingston. The restaurant is known for its authentic, soulful food made with love, including special dishes like burnt ends seasoned with Ms. Florida’s own blend and banana pudding, which are highly recommended. Although only open a few days a week, especially on Saturdays, the quality and hearty meals make Florida's Kitchen a special spot for those seeking genuine down-home cooking.
