I love this place! Usually go for dinner but we stopped in for lunch. I had chicken tenders, cole slaw & fries. Hubby hand the fish & shrimp. Everything was wonderful! Server I think her name is Ashley but really they are all great and feel like friends every time we've ever went. Prices are reasonable, clean and inviting. If you have room for dessert you won't be disappointed.

Florida’s Kitchen in Livingston is a true gem that’s been around for decades, built on family recipes passed down through the years. It’s only open a few days a week, but it’s worth planning a trip. Saturdays are the best—burnt ends and banana pudding as the special—and it’s our favorite day to go.
The burnt ends are packed with flavor, seasoned with Ms. Florida’s own blend that she makes herself, just like everything else in the kitchen. Add in the banana pudding, and you’ve got some of the best down-home cooking you’ll ever find. It was so good it actually brought tears to my eyes the first time.
If you want authentic, soulful food made with love, this is it.
Still the absolute best fried catfish within 100 miles. Plus, excellent beef ribs, and amazing desserts...until they sell out. It's been our go-to place for a great dinner out in Livingston for over 15 years.

I have been in Livingston now for 8 years and have eaten at this restaurant maybe 5 times, and this will be the last time. It started off good with a friendly waitress, and that's where it ended. Chopped beef extremely fatty ,I was spitting out fat every other bite until I gave up. Burnt tips, fatty, and not burnt just bigger fatty chunks of what I was served. And the BBQ sauce was watery. Our waitress left the restaurant, I assume ( she was never seen again). The girl that took her place completely ignored us , we had empty cups and was never offered refills, but she gave plenty of attention to the 2 gentlemen behind us and offered them to go drinks. I am not sure what has happened to this establishment because it use to be pretty good.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Florida's Kitchen. Previously, I would regularly order their Italian cream cake, but it seems I made an error in trusting them once more. Sadly, their cake, which was once of high quality, has declined substantially. The expenditure of seven dollars was unnecessary, as the cake tasted stale, indicating a possible change in their recipe. Warming it up was also unsuccessful. I will not be placing any further orders with them.
