One word…WOW!
Visiting in town and went on a Friday night, not real busy got to sit outside and watch a storm approach. Met the sweet owner who made you feel like you were the only guest in the place. The food was unbelievable. Ordered fried pimento cheese, mahi mahi tacos, BHB hamburger (best hamburger ever in my 73 years) and cheesecake. Every dish was fantastic, even the leftovers the next day. This is a great place to eat . the food is amazing . my husband has celiac disease and they did everything they could to accommodate him. he said the alligator bites were very good . i would definitely recommend this place .
Barrel House has a new chef, and it definitely shows. The food has gone to another level. I ordered the steak over creamy mashed potatoes, and it was outstanding. The steak had an incredible sear, was cooked perfectly, and was finished with a rich buttery sauce that brought everything together.
