Nice atmosphere and staff were helpful when asked a question. Food was not to my liking, as I’m not used to the extreme smoke flavours. Brisket was fatty and moist but sausages were dry and all tasted the same to me. I’m more a braai guy 😁
I have been going since I was a little girl, my parents took us there at least 2 twice a month and now we take our family and friends there as well. It's our family tradition to go and the food is EXCELLENT!! 😋 Highly recommend it.

The sausage was the worst I’ve ever eaten. I had to take one back because it tasted and looked spoiled after I cut it. Even my 10yr old son. Said Dad that don’t look good. I bit into it and had to spit it out. I took it back and they gave me another, but that just ruined the meal for us. The brisket was dry and the sides were cold and didn’t taste good either. We had the pinto beans and corn. And to pay $2.99 for a small serving of sides were definitely not worth it. The total meal was $63 for 2 sausages, 2 thin slices of brisket, 2 1/2 ribs. Small pinto beans and small corn. That you have to pay separately for. What a waste. This was our first and last time at Kreuz. I would not recommend this place. I thought Lockhart is supposedly famous for the bbq. Not this place for sure! If we’re driving through again, maybe we’ll give Terry Black’s a chance.

The woman behind the meat counter was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in a food establishment. In Lockhart, Tx , there are at least 10 other bbq restaurants, so, people definitely have choices! We were visiting Lockhart and chose Krews from another recommendation.
We ordered approximately $50 in meats and she threw 4 slices of bread up on our meat order. One of the pieces was the “heel”. She knew we wanted to make a couple of sandwiches and when I asked her for another piece of bread, instead of the “heel” , she proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it. She argued with me about that piece of bread until she finally threw it in the trash and threw several other pieces up on our meats.
Based on our experience, we wouldn’t return.

Exceeds expectations in every way. Barbecue and sausage are two of my favorite foods, and this place does them both to perfection. The turkey is also moist and delicious. I can honestly say this was one of the best meals of my life.
