Kreuz Market has some of, if not the very best BBQ I’ve ever had. Brisket and potato casserole were absolute perfection, ribs, turkey and corn were very good too. The Sauerkraut had something special about it I couldn’t quite place but it was excellent as well. Overall I’d have to rate it a 10 of 10.

Would absolutely come again if I’m in the area.

This place is an absolute gem! I’d always been curious and finally made the trip, and it was more than worth it. The BBQ is outstanding—well worth the drive from SA—and the staff is just as incredible. The variety of meats is truly impressive, with clod on the menu (a rare find) that was absolutely delicious.

The setup here is fantastic. There are three massive dining areas, plenty of parking, and everything feels welcoming and well-organized. The smoke room, where you pick out your meats, is an experience in itself—filled with the mouthwatering aromas of every cut imaginable. They offer a wide variety of sausages, and every bite tastes fresh and carefully prepared.

It doesn’t stop at the meats, though. They’ve dedicated an entire room to sides, and you can tell just as much care goes into them. The mac and cheese is so well-seasoned it doesn’t need a single dash of salt or pepper, and the potato salad—served cold—tastes like something mom would make at home: comforting, simple, and absolutely satisfying. With fresh food, great drinks, and a friendly atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you don’t just visit once. I’ll absolutely be making that trip again—and many more times in the future.

I had brisket and shoulder clod for lunch. It was solid and would come back again!

The staff was friendly and the place was clean. For the cost of the food and being in the barbecue capital of Texas, I was very disappointed. The brisket was okay at best, the sauce was like ketchup. The loaded mashed potatoes was the best part of the meal.

Huge BBQ place. Plenty of good food. No wine, only spritzer cans of Rose. Very sweet. Not enjoyable

Amazing experience! We ordered the brisket, ribs, and sides, and everything was absolutely delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the ribs were cooked to perfection, and the sides complemented the meal beautifully. The food quality was outstanding, and you can really taste the tradition and care that goes into it. Definitely one of the best BBQ experiences

Nice atmosphere and staff were helpful when asked a question. Food was not to my liking, as I’m not used to the extreme smoke flavours. Brisket was fatty and moist but sausages were dry and all tasted the same to me. I’m more a braai guy 😁

I have been going since I was a little girl, my parents took us there at least 2 twice a month and now we take our family and friends there as well. It's our family tradition to go and the food is EXCELLENT!! 😋 Highly recommend it.

The sausage was the worst I’ve ever eaten. I had to take one back because it tasted and looked spoiled after I cut it. Even my 10yr old son. Said Dad that don’t look good. I bit into it and had to spit it out. I took it back and they gave me another, but that just ruined the meal for us. The brisket was dry and the sides were cold and didn’t taste good either. We had the pinto beans and corn.
And to pay $2.99 for a small serving of sides were definitely not worth it. The total meal was $63 for 2 sausages, 2 thin slices of brisket, 2 1/2 ribs. Small pinto beans and small corn. That you have to pay separately for. What a waste. This was our first and last time at Kreuz. I would not recommend this place. I thought Lockhart is supposedly famous for the bbq. Not this place for sure! If we’re driving through again, maybe we’ll give Terry Black’s a chance.
