Thank you for bringing your bistro to Gonzales. We cannot wait to come back. The wine list and knowledge is second to none. The meal was prepared with class and heart with execution not seen in South Texas in a very long time. Again, thank you!!!

We have dined in the Bistro several times, it never disappoints. The steak tartar was amazing. Definitely try the octopus, and the duck. The staff is amazing and give great suggestions if you need them. Great Place to enjoy a nice evening.

Ordered a variety of food and wine. Everything was outstanding. Tuna sashimi was especially good! Wines complimented entrees well. Variety of desserts, all excellent, as well as dessert wines! Will definitely return. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often!

This was our first visit & it did not disappoint. The food was only second to the service that was provided. There were so many options that looked so good, we can't wait until our next visit.

The food, the service, the everything was amazing! How in the heck did we get such an amazing restaurant in little Gonzales TX?! It is a special occasion place for us but oh so worth it!!!

Food and drinks were of very good quality! Service was excellent, though slow from both the bar and kitchen. If you don't mind sitting for a longer meal, this is a great stop!

The food was spectacular. It was busy for a Friday night, reservation was a great idea. The prime rib was amazing as were the oysters on the half shell from MA and the smoked gouda queso with shrimp was out of this world. Every single tortilla chip was perfectly salted. All around just a great meal.

The appetizers we ordered were fantastic and the dessert was good. Unfortunately, my Duck was overcooked and my partners crab risotto was not edible. We had very high hopes as we have been told several times how good the food is here. Disappointed is an understatement.

Quiche was very good (both filling and crust), a good size, and quite filling; but cheese on top (salamander fired?) was quite tough, made it difficult to cut, and added little flavor. The potato soup was very good: creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked pieces of potato. Personally, I would have preferred a little more salt and a little black pepper, but that's purely a personal preference:-) and not a criticism of the preparation.

Always nice to drive into Gonzales and eat here at the Gonzales Bistro. Food is always spot on. We ordered the fried Brussels sprout with Thai chili vinaigrette and bacon. These were one of the best Brussels sprouts ever you'll need to try them. I don't think there nothing on the menu that is not good everything is just awesome. Our waitress Kelsey was remarkable, and the bartender knows how to make a drink.

Definitely order an app. Try a few of their special cocktails. Main course is definitely a treat. Serving sizes were perfect. Staff is well trained, there when you need them out of site when not needed. Reservations strongly recommended. This is three steps above any other restaurant within an hour drive in any direction. Please review the menu for pricing if on a budget, then know you get what you pay for. This is not fast food or bar grub.

We had a fabulous birthday dinner for our daughter! Everything was excellent! She loved the French onion soup and we loved the lamb lollipops. Entrees were extraordinary - one of the specials of the night was a lamb shank. Son-in-law ordered that and it was out of this world! We will definitely be returning!!!

Second time here in two months making the easy 60 minute drive from Austin. Took friends on this second visit who also very much enjoyed the ambience of the interior, variety of menu selections, service and food. That Gonzales was street light decorated for the holidays added to a lovely evening!

Food is so different from everything around. Which is a great thing! Flavor is fantastic, food is fresh. Robert was a very sweet and attentive waiter. This was our second dinner here and I have to say it was a better experience than the first time. We would definitely come back for a date night or special occasion.
