Vegetarian options: A very tasty spring salad with pinto beans complimented the delicious BBQ

Parking: Our large family enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration on the patio. The pitmasters. servers, and waitstaff were friendly and efficient. OMG, it was the best BBQ ever!.Our 3 pets on leashes relaxed on the patio as the gathering enjoyed delicious BBQ beef and turkey, spring salad and sweet tea. Don't wonder where to enjoy terrific and tasty Texas BBQ, eat at Terry Blacks BBQ!

Kid-friendliness: Preteen granddaughter enjoyed the outdoor patio festivities.

Absolutely cannot recommend this resteraunt. If you want BBQ in Lockhart go to any other place than this.
My wife placed an online order ($130.00) at 2:00pm. for a 315pm pick up. I showed up and it was not ready. I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, wrong.
I sat in the resteraunt for the next 25 to 30 minutes waiting on my food. If I had not approached the register to asked for my food I would have absolutely waited until closing time.
I spoke with the manager and was offered "promotional hats" because of our online orders. Who would want give free advertisement after this experience?
My wife sent the resteraunt manager an email and received no reply, so it's time for a Google review and to be done with that place.

This brisket is better than Franklin BBQ, there I said it... That's a serious statement that I don't make lightly. Not only was the brisket incredible, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. This is a place everyone should experience! Special thanks to the man tending 60 briskets to stop what he was doing and invite us in to checkout what was on the smoker. Amazing experience!!

The brisket was dry, potato with the peel is not my kind of salad. Turkey, ref sausage and pork ribs were ok but have had better.

This was my favorite BBQ we had on our TX Hill Country trip this past Spring Break. We will definitely be hitting this place up again whenever we are the area.

The aroma was so enticing that it did not disappoint. The sliced brisket whether order sliced or lean is melt in your mouth delicious. Perfect balance of smoke and depth of flavor. This place can stop ordering Knives because you do not need them the smoked meat are fall apart tender. The macn'cheese was the best I had ever had. It was soft creamy, salty, and tasted as good as it looked. The green beans were perfectly cooked with a little crunch left. Sweet tea bakery items and dessert rounded out all that is to offer. Ample indoor outdoor seating and room for large families to sit together. The pits are open to the viewing public and the atmosphere is authentic Texan. Just a couple blocks from the historic Lockhart city center. It makes for a wonderful family day trip. Or fantastic date. Enjoy and go hungry, make sure you by some to go or you will regret it tomorrow.

A truly charming experience. Staff was genuine and welcoming. I placed a simple order from the menu, and they took the time to ask extra questions, and offered me some custom options.... And the food was top notch!

Excellent way to end our Texas spring break vacation. Robert and Amelia helped us at the counter and were so nice and helpful. Super fun to check out the pits. Best meat, sides, and desserts we have had while here. Definitely don’t miss this opportunity.
