Used to love this place when it was rockin K, now its kinda meh. Not terrible... but, smaller portion sizes, more expensive, and mediocre service (forgetting things and slight inaccuracies in the order, etc). Quality of food also wasnt as good as it was. To be fair, we did go around 7pm, so maybe its better during more peak hours but... idk.

Tried the steak dinner on Saturday. The steak was undercooked. It was basically rare to not cook on the edges. Potatoes were not cooked throughout . Oreo pudding was our best experience. Waitress not experienced at all. Next time we will order medium instead of medium rare.
We ordered fried catfish - everything was delicious. We are here when it was the other owners, the Rockin K. Give these folks a chance! It didn't disappoint

We have been here quite a few times in the past. We live 2 towns away- it has usually been well worth the drive. The prices have gone up and up- which when the food remains really good, is not a problem. My husband had the 4 piece fried fish- it looked good and he said it was. The pieces of fish are smaller than usual- but good. I ordered the 6 piece fried shrimp- everything on my plate was from frozen or canned. I really did not eat much- one shrimp, bite of okra. The Texas toast was the best thing on the plate. I hate to write a restaurant I really enjoyed in the past off the list- but I won't be back to Sammy's Rockin k. BTW- the waitstaff was great.

Great experience ? I got the double hamburger with no bun (they have gluten free buns available) with tater tots and the burgers were so good and tater tots fried to perfection. Also, we tried the cheese sticks which were very good. My husband got the combo with fried catfish, French fries, 1 hush puppy and boiled shrimp with beans and coleslaw. The catfish had good flavor and good coating. Very good portions, will return.
