We arrived on the last day of their week, so my expectations were pretty low. I thought that we probably would only get leftover scraps since they were going to be closed for the following two days. BOY, WAS I WRONG! This was legit Texas barbecue. The sausage was very flavorful. The ribs were absolutely delightful. The brisket was some of the best I've had in Texas. I personally would actually put it above Franklin's! You also get free beans if you dine in. Which is where I have my only slightly negative feedback. They lacked flavor to us. We did add some of the spicy barbecue sauce to them, and it totally transformed them. I would suggest that they just add some to them after they finish cooking and just see how the customers like them. If they don't, then you should definitely try it if you find them bland also. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in Longview.
We stopped in during a cold rainy day. I could not wait to have some warm pintos and fresh slaw. The sliced beef sandwich was tender and moist. Everything was delicious and spiced just perfectly. Also, the house hot sauce was so dang good. The staff were all very courteous and speedy with our order. The restaurant was very welcoming, clean and well kept. Can't wait to come back. Thank y'all! .Never disappoints, good Q at a decent price but staff needs to be trained on greeting guest. Don't need a robot. Honestly the food used to be alot better back in the day but that was in Marshall many years ago when people use to smile and say hi..

Good service, always helpful and fast. Ribs are great, but I love the hot links. Mac is pretty bland and not that cheesy, but maybe others would like it. Always plenty of free fixings like pickles and jalapeños and onions.

Service was friendly and efficient. Nice people. Beans were good, but hard to mess up. Everything else was less than okay: brisket, ribs (not like bbq ribs at all), potato salad. The burnt ends were inedible, sticky sweet coating. We did not care for the potato salad at all, but maybe it's an acquired taste, it's different. We threw a lot of the food away. Will never go back. The reviews are generally good and I've read about bodacious, wanted to try it. We're spoiled -- there's so much excellent bbq out there. This was not it (in our opinion). Disappointed. Nothing special about the ambiance, kind of dirty. (On Mobberly in Longview)

I have to point out that this is a review for the Bodacious on Mobberly in Longview. The food there is completely different and much better than the other locations, which are average at best. But Mobberly Bodacious is far superior and has a completely different menu. Simply put, this is the best BBQ restaurant in Longview and possible East Texas. The only knock is having to wait in line, but that is normal at any good BBQ joint.
