The food has been nothing but spectacular every single time I come in. I'm a very picky eater but everything I've tried I've loved. Best BBQ in East Texas by far! David and his fiancé are genuinely the sweetest people ever. Go give them a visit and I PROMISE you won't regret it.
I’ve only recently discovered Boxcar, despite driving by numerous times. I live in Tyler, but I’m in Longview every few weeks. I’m a brisket lover, and I absolutely love the chopped beef! Juicy… tender… tasty… topped off with the perfect BBQ sauce. Chef’s kiss! Of the sides I’ve had so far, all fantastic! Mac n cheese is by far the best I’ve had from a restaurant. Daniel, David and Lauren are all exceptionally friendly! I’ll definitely be back soon!
I bought sloppy joes to go and they weren't good this time around. I don't know what's happened, but they were flavorless. The atmosphere seemed cold; the workers are usually friendly and talkative, but not today. They seemed stressed. Maybe it was an off day.
