A Longview staple, we had not been there literally since the 1990s. Little has changed in any way, except things are more expensive now. Otherwise, the venue is pretty much unchanged from when we were in college. The food, however, has also not changed--in a good way! Excellent burgers and fries, and an incredible bakery set of options as you enter the restaurant. There is something here for everyone as long as you are a meat lover and love baked goods. The restaurant could use a complete overhaul to bring up to a modern look, but otherwise it is solid. Recommended.

Stopped here for the first time and grabbed a burger. It was just OK, nothing special. I think Juciy's is better for burgers. The person taking our order wasn't too helpful (GF has allergies) and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Picked up a few treats from the bakery and that was a little better. Would give the desserts 4 stars.

I was taken for dinner by my son and daughter in law for Mother's Day. I got a bacon cheeseburger and tasted both the french fries and onion rings. It was all delicious. The veggies for the burgers are fresh and self serve. They also have beans and chili that are also included on veggie bar. Although we only got cookies I kinda got the feeling by the long line at the dessert counter that that was the real draw for many customers

Always have a great experience at the Butcher Shop. It also has a great party place that seats many guests in the back area. My only complaint is I can never hear the numbers of the orders when they are called out.

Been going to The Butcher Shop starting some time in the '80s it always delivers. The chili is the bomb! Only thing wrong they are 130 mi from my house. This time I also another brought a friend from DFW 3 weeks ago he is still talking about the burger & chili. Who knows how many of my friends now make a stop going to Bossier or going back to DFW some stop both ways . Sense COVID lots of places aren't the same anymore but The Butcher Shop ...you still a rock star !
The cake was very tasted and fresh. Loved the chocolate covered strawberries 🍓

I stopped by today 4/29 during my lunch and was charged $22 for my meal, which I was totally fine with. However, I later noticed that the cashier added a $7 tip to the transaction without my consent. I just wanted to bring this to everyones attention so you can review your receipts and make sure this isn’t happening to you.

I loved the chicken fried steak sandwich! Such a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a bakery shop with such a great variety you can’t NOT take something home! Definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive! Will definitely be back!!!
