This place is definitely amazing. As a person who just moved to Texas from the west coast I will say soon as I walked in I was greeted with love. Ron is the guy to talk to. Very friendly and strong knowledge of the menu. He made the experience even more relaxing I would recommend 100%

It will be difficult to spot this place from the road if you aren’t already in the know, but we can confirm that the few minutes off the highway and any U-turns will be completely worth the fittingly divine experience of eating here. We stopped here on a road trip and were greeted with friendly staff, an extensive menu, and an assortment of fans and an air-conditioning unit somehow mostly fending off the summer heat. Takeout seemed very speedy, but the sit-down area was much appreciated (table service, pay up front after your meal). We ordered two fried catfish plates and fried pork chops. Absolutely incredible. The fish was thin and crispy, made even more perfect with the homemade tartar sauce. The pork chop was both crisp and juicy with just the right amount of breading. Highly recommend the purple hull peas, fried okra, corn, and mashed potatoes (the brown gravy is key!) for sides. All the portions were generous without being overwhelming, and service was attentive and welcoming. As we left, we were told to have a safe trip and come back soon—rest assured, we will be happy to!

Baby!!!!!! If I tell you!!!!! My family brought me to this restaurant and pulling up I knew it was about to be on and popping… I got the fried catfish Mac and cheese with turnip greens , extra pickles and peppers and it was deeeeelicious 😋 .. the catfish was fried to the absolute perfection…. Yes ma’am and and yes Sirrrr .. thank you for a good home cooked meal ❤️
