After the comedy show, we had the opportunity to participate in karaoke, which turned out to be an absolute blast. The intimate atmosphere of the bar added to the charm of the experience. The friendly staff and the great selection of songs made the karaoke session truly memorable.The Firehouse is undeniably a hidden gem, and I’d encourage anyone to keep an eye out for their upcoming events. An unexpected delight was the newcomer, Nickey Dipps, who had the entire audience in stitches. We look forward to watching her comedy journey unfold.We noticed a previous negative review, but our experience was anything but that. The service we received was impeccable, thanks to the attentive waitstaff. As someone who doesn't consume alcohol, I'm usually a demanding guest, yet they effortlessly kept my chips, salsa, and lemonade replenished without needing reminders.What stood out is that this seems to be an all-female-run establishment, and it's empowering to see these talented women not only managing the bar but doing it exceptionally well. Last night, we had a unique experience as they transformed the bar into a comedy club, which is a rarity in Longview. Despite having two comedy clubs in Tyler, we were curious to see how a bar could pull off such a transformation. To our surprise, they did it brilliantly.The setup was functional, with a slight rearrangement of furniture, creating an intimate atmosphere that elevated the comedy show. The waitresses went above and beyond to ensure they didn't obstruct views or disrupt the performance, displaying remarkable agility.The comedians, especially Kevin Hollingsworth as the host and "headliner," were outstanding. Nickey Dipps, a first-time comedian, had us in stitches throughout her set. We hope to see her continue to grow in the comedy scene.Regarding the negative review we came across on Google, it seems the bar takes feedback seriously, as our experience was quite the opposite. The staff, including the three exceptional waitresses, provided top-notch service. I must admit I'm a demanding customer, but they effortlessly kept my chips, salsa, and lemonade flowing without needing me to ask.As a non-drinker, I truly appreciate their attention to detail and quick service. After the comedy show, they even had a female DJ for karaoke, showcasing that this is an all-female-run business. It's fantastic to see such empowered and capable women running a bar successfully.Our experience was outstanding, and I strongly recommend giving the "Firehouse Bar" another chance if you had a negative encounter before.
