How are you a seafood spot, but put imitation crab meat on your crab fries. Just pitiful.

I would give this place less than 1 star. I was in Longview visiting my fiance and I called in my order. Ready in 15 was surprised but a little concerned about that. He went to pick up my catfish po boy. I was salty and a little chewy like the fish had been sitting awhile. This was about 7:30. About 3 am I was awakened with a terrible stomach ache and needless to say if you have ever had food poisoning you know the rest. I called the next day asked for a manager and got put on hold. So I was very upset. So when I got back to Dallas I reached out to the main number and still never heard anything back or nothing. So this place I will never patronize again and I have told everyone I know about my experience. I basically paid to get food poisoning.

First time visit to Hook and reel! We got the shrimp boil with Cajun seasoning and spicy. The shrimp was perfect cooked. Added sausage and the flavor was awesome! Highly recommend!

I have been to the Hook and Reel in the past month: for lunch with my mother and dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We have had great dining experiences on both occasions. I personally prefer the Lobster Bisque over the Clam Chowder. The Shrimp Baskets were a favorite with my family. The Sweet Potato Fries and Regular Fries were very good. My favorite was the Seafood Boils. I had mine with shrimp and crab legs - so good! I’m glad that they have options for non-seafood lovers in my family. The Chicken Tender Basket was perfect for my child; hence, everyone enjoyed eating at Hook & Reel! Skyler is an exceptional server. He always had a smile on his face and he was way ahead of us when it came to drink refills. We can’t wait to go there again!

Great atmosphere! Didn't care for the shrimp flavored pig skins but they have fantastic Cajun fries! Ordered the lunch pick two and went with catfish and shrimp. Perfectly seasoned and fried. Definitely love this place. And the waiter was amazing!!!

This is why you can't trust everyone else's judgment. I had several associates tell me not to try Hook & Reel because their food wasn't up to their standards. Me being the foodie I am.. of course I did anyway & they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! My experience was great! Food was so flavorful! Vibes & music were nice. Service was also exceptional, Rayleigh was one of the best waitresses I've had in a while! Very sweet, great personality & very attentive! I definitely will be returning especially for that Hook & Reel sauce

I read the reviews and they were pretty good but once I tasted the shrimp chips, I knew right away that we had messed up going there. No seasoning on anything. Spent 50$ and didn't take any leftovers home because it was so bad.

The food was incredible. I had scallops and a lobster tail in garlic butter with broccoli corn and potatoes. Definitely a five star will come again

J and I have both eaten here with our families just not together for a lunch. It was good we both agreed. This location always reincarnates as something seafood. This is at least our 3rd time here for seafood under some name. This was good. We have each been a couple of times and the crab/ shrimp meal is good. J has also been and had a creamy shrimp pasta dish he liked. I had the fried flounder basket and it was fine. One thing that is not fine are those nasty fried shrimp appetizer things though= nasty! Other than that, a good lunch.

Best seafood place I have ever been too in my entire life, the crawfish were great sized and the king crab leg was priced right which is rare, the waiter we had checked up on us the right amount of times which was helpful, aswell as there being no wait or line. The decorations inside were nice too. Great great place.Parking: Plenty off parking

Lousy food. Nothing I care for. Everyone else said theirs was ok. They really don't offer food certain ways. Example my sister wanted just crab legs with garlic butter to dip. She got the crab legs boiled and wasn't even offered anything to crack the legs, a bib or hand wipes. We had to ask for everything. Our server destined would ask and before you could really say anything she was gone. Like I said ask for everything a couple of times. My husband even had to go up to the bar to get things. Because they did not give my sister y the food the way she wanted she ended up dumping her sauce all over herself. I got the lobster bisque soup and a house salad. Salad dressing came in k cup containers so you know the salad dressing wasn't fresh. Salad consisted of ice burg lettuce lots of croutons some Parmesan cheese two slices of tomatoes cut in half and laid on the edge of the plate. Dressing had not taste. Lobster bisque has a little bit to it. Only thing I liked was the sweet potato fries off of my granddaughters plate. Calamari was over cooked that my husband was playing stretchy band with them. Crab balls were good. And whatever those chips they bring out are nasty.

I loved the place! I know, I gave it a four-star because we were disappointed by the size of the crawdads. They had big heads and tiny tails which is where all the meat's at. It's a welcoming and fun environment. Our server was Kenzie and it was her first shift on the floor and she did superb. She was a joy and very on-top of her hospitality. We got the boil combos, chose our sauce and spice level and our extras such as broccoli, rice, or noodles, etc. There were TVs around the dining rooms with different channels on, fun decorations on the walls, and the food was SOO yummy We definitely ate too much but it was worth it! We got cheesecake to finish and we rolled out of there with a food coma I would love to come back here with family when I come to visit from Washington state. Thank you from Cory and Angel
