Asada Mexican Grill

Asada Mexican Grill restaurant needs to improve on management. Me and my family went in around 2:30pm and at first the environment was great we meet Alex he introduced himself and the menu. The food was great I rate the food 9.0/10. A couple minutes in of enjoying our food I heard a door slam hard and was concerned, I overheard an employee and the manager Alex going at it the manager was talking very rude and loud to the employee the employee was calm and collected and I just seen the manager get very angry and be mean to the employee. I've been working in the fast food industry for over 21 years and run my own business and that is not how you treat your employees it seemed all good at first but it was a toxic environment. And I'm sorry for the employee that went through that.

First time eating here and we loved the food! The service was amazing and the food was fresh and served quickly. I think we found our new taco spot, we will be coming back. :)

Was impressed until I wasn’t. Had found this spot recently and enjoyed the high quality fresh food and friendly service. Tonite, upon entering the staff was already checked out. Arrived at 8:30 and the hours listed say they close at 9. They were reluctant to serve us though they did. Before the restaurant was closed they started stacking chairs on tables around us all but telling us to leave. This would have a passable grievance but the staff started mopping the floor with a toxic smelling cleaner and we had to leave mid meal. I mentioned something to the staff and no apology or anything just a shrug. Very disappointing after finding what I thought was a rare gem in Lubbock. If you’re open until 9, please act like it. If you want to close at 8:30 changes your hours.

Great service and amazing food. The asada tacos and refried beans were delicious. Super authentic Mexican food. LOVES IT!!Fresh cilantro avocados and lime. My daughter and my grand-babies loved the food too. We also had three choices of different salsas. I live in Fort Worth but I’m definitely coming back again.

Stopped by while visiting our child. Wow! The asada was extremely flavorful. I had the burrito and wife had the carnita tacos. Both delicious!

Well priced entrees. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We will make this a staple when we visit.

It’s funny how small things can drastically change your perception of something.
My wife had a doctor appointment this morning and then we did a bit of shopping and decided to stop somewhere for lunch. She recommended Asada Grill (we’d never tried it before) and so we did.
Food seemed a bit pricey, but the portions were good (with one exception) and it tasted good, so all was well . . . until I used up the two small corn tortillas they gave me to eat a healthy portion of grilled skirt steak along with frijoles, rice and pico de gallo.

I went to the front to ask for a couple of additional tortillas and they were glad to comply . . . provided I gave them $1.65 + tax for them. Needless to say I was not amused, and told them I thought the price was excessive, but regardless two small tortillas wasn’t a reasonable allotment for the meat etc they had given me.
Neither side was willing to bend from their opening offer, so I told them I believed they were unreasonable and would not return. Apparently they didn’t care.
The food was still good as I finished the remaining half of my plate, but I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much. If they had been willing to relent to the extent of giving me one additional tortilla I would have been happy, and would probably have been a continuing customer.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to lose future business over an item that probably costs them 10 cents.
