I had the porker omelet which was great, my wife had the Cali Benedict and while tasty was only warm NOT hot. Very disappointed as we have eaten here before and always had a good meal.
Muy rico y excelente servicio 😋
Down home cooking with a special touch like the sweet potato pancakes….yum!!! My husband and I shared the biscuit/sausage which were also delicious.
Local busy country style breakfast establishment w/old memorabilia items! Friendly attentive service. Busy place, delicious coffee for starters. HUGE fluffy pancakes, enjoyed the eggs and bacon too. Well priced too. We were visiting and went with the reviews. Would recommend.
This is where the locals go for an excellent breakfast! An extensive menu - it all comes out cooked to order and of fine quality. Our favorite breakfast spot in Lubbock.
great place to eat at staff was super nice
Friendly staff. Good food.
We were in from out of town and were looking online for a good place for breakfast that wasn’t a chain restaurant. We found this place and read some good reviews and decided to give it a try. It was awesome! The place was very down home and inviting and even took me back in time to an old cafe in my hometown. It just has that hometown feel that I love! The decor is Americana/Texan, which, being a proud native Texan I can appreciate. I also loved seeing all of the faith-based signage, such as the Lord’s Prayer, as well as some other signs that really made us feel like it was God’s will for us to eat there that day. Before even sitting down at the table, I felt like I was in my Granny & Paw-Paw’s house! We were greeted, seated, and even served by Andrea, who is awesome! She was smiling and friendly and really made us feel welcome. Andrea provided great recommendations on menu items. I was super excited to see sweet potato pancakes on the menu and Andrea mentioned they make their own cinnamon-honey to top it with so of course I had to try them. Plus, Andrea our waitress said they heat up the syrup for us! Wow! Sold! Our omelettes and pancakes were out to us quickly and it was all so very delicious! Andrea kept checking on us to get us whatever we needed and was very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and dining experience at Pancake House in Lubbock.
If you go on a weekend or busy time at the university, expect a long wait. Food is typical diner type breakfast. Try the sweet potato pancakes with cinnamon honey. Very tasty.
Waited about 30 mins for a table on a Sun morning and then another hour after our order was taken. Sum total 2 hours for a breakfast that is no different than any other breakfast establishment in the US.

Saturday morning visit. Now admittedly the place was packed with about a 15 minute wait. Seated and our order was taken promptly, but then we waited 46 minutes for our food. Standard breakfast fare including eggs, hash browns, pancakes, sausage. Food finally arrived and it was ALL cold and not particularly good. Didn’t send it back or complain as it was not worth the risk of another long wait. Coffee was good and our server was attentive and did his best but just could not overcome the long wait and mediocre food.
This place has been an old friend since 1982 when I had a job in Lubbock. I once worked in the neighborhood and ate breakfast and lunch with them often. They are primarily in the breakfast business but have plenty of other items fit for different times of day. It has always been privately owned and I believe it is still today. They are just across the street from Dennys and believe me Denny’s doesn’t have anything on them. My breakfast was made to order and they have fantastic biscuits. The serving time was very prompt and the wait staff cheerful and inviting. It sure was good to be able to visit with them again. I know they have been around since before the 1970 tornado where nothing but their bar stools were left. I hope they live on many more profitable years.
Directly across the street from where we stayed! We were there mid morning I would think 9:45am and it was 30-45 min wait which was fine-if you are planning a busy day you may want to be the early bird! Food was delicious and service very good and friendly.
Not open at 815 Sunday Advertises open 6-2 daily? Not sure what the issue was but no one there . Not sure why they weren’t open.
Charming, old-style ambience with prompt and friendly service. I had a club sandwich which was okay but nothing to write home about. Prices were reasonable.
