Please explain to me how you’re letting 18 year old females into your establishment but excluding 19 year old males the same night.
Best bar in lubbock hands down. Great music, atmosphere, and easy access to Big E's BBQ on the patio
Wonderful venue, great sound. Saw Cameron Allbright and Hank Weaver, 2 great San Marcos musicians. Had a great time.
Was at The Blue Light for a memorial for a friend. The entire staff and vibe were just ideal. Could not have had a better experience. Compliments to all.
Great Venue. Great Band (The Graham St. Clair Band). Great Happy Hour - Great Time.
Great Music Venue. Sound System was excellent. Graham St. Clair Band was performing, they were Great. $1.00 Longneck Happy Hour - What else could you want. 5 Star All The Way!
My girlfriend has been coming to blue light for years. I’m new to the live music scene and I’m looking forward to coming back again and again.
Home away from home! Always welcoming and the best bar staff around! Love my live music, burns and people!
I LOVE THIS BAR!!
Excellent energy. Not a big bar person. Came here to see a musician I follow (Goldford) and discovered an appreciable location where they host live music ranging from song nights to I believe concerts and occaisional music contests. Walls appear to be decorated with posters of bands who have been there before. It seems I have some history to look into.

These are some of the rudest workers I have ever met in my entire life. My friend Hudson was playing for the night and had my friends and I on the guest list and they kicked us out of the green room and told us to come through the front because we are not 21 (which they did not inform Hudson that’s guests must be 21)…which would usually be understandable if they hadn’t spoken to us like we were stupid and quite literally scoffed at us when we couldn’t find the front door and made us feel like idiots. They also proceeded to be rude to our other friends who were on the guest list AND of drinking age and claimed they were “arguing” when he told him that his goes by his middle name that was on his ID. They accused us of lying about being on the list and laughed to eachother as if we were stupid. Worst service ever.
I called to ask a question about a concert and the receptionist immediately hung up and ended the call. I then later called back to apologize for any wrong doing I did. Needless to say, customer service needs to be addressed. When representing a company, it is always important to be welcoming and assist the customers needs. When you hang up on a customer in the middle of the conversation it shows that the company does not value their customers nor does it attract future business.
Being the first line of customer contact is not an easy job, but remember that you are representing the brand and when you decide to hang up on a customer it speaks louder than words. It directly affects the reputation of the brand and what they stand for. This altercation definitely made me disappointed in the staff member who I spoke with. It is also discouraging to the artists who play at the Blue Light and rely on the venue for their lively hood.
If you are going to want business, friendly customer service is mandatory. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson to those who are in charge of the Blue Light customer relations.
I was visiting family and joined to see Wade Bowen and had the best time! Up close and personal with the live music, cheap drinks, affordable cover, nice bartenders, what more could ya want?
Best live music venue in Lubbock and one of the best in the state!
Cool place for the young crowd
