I used to really love blue sky, but the beef patties were pre formed frozen, and the taste was off last time I was here. Possibly they changed suppliers, or product due to inflation, but the quality just doesn't seem to be what it used to be.

Kinda like Cracker Barrel meets the Long John Silver of fried foods. I got a salad with fried chicken (only chicken option) which was a large portion and pretty good. Also, got a side of onion rings since almost all sides are fried. Lots of batter but very little onion. If looking for fried food options I would recommend it.

Nice place, great atmosphere, and quick friendly service. Unfortunately, the food left a bit to be desired. I ordered the blue sky & fries. The fries were soggy, a bit overdone, and were a bit off taste. I would venture to say that they were in the top 5 of the worst fries I have had in the past 50 years. The twin burgers were heavily salted and a bit on the greasy side. The cheese sticks were however light and airy and I would order again. The onion rings were very close to the fries, and the fried mushrooms were saved by the great tasting ranch. All in all, I would not vist again.
Can't visit Lubbock without going to Blue sky. Burgers are great, I love their chicken tenders as well. The vibe is great, and the staff is are awesome!

We love Blue sky but it is basically a self serve place. You pay and no one asks if you need anything or if your food order was ok. It is so very expensive to eat there and you basically receive no customers service..we keep going back because the food is good. But at least Sonic sends someone around to see if you need anything we ordered chilli cheese fries, 3 hamber steak plates and 4 drinks for over $80.00. That a lot for no service.
