Brewed Awakening Coffee Lounge

The staff is very hit or miss, they are so nice taking your order but once you tip they disregard you, I know for a fact I ordered a large and was given a small. I would’ve been willing to pay extra for a large but when I said it was supposed to be a large the girl behind the counter rudely shouted “well u paid for a small” and turned her back to me. I’m a barista and understand the hassle of people trying to get large drinks for medium price but I know I said large and was rudely ignored. I also understand being busy but I also understand how easy it is to size up a drink :) just thought the staff was rude and lacked personable skills.

First time in, and it didn’t disappoint. The drinks were amazing, service was great, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Was even pleased to see a Bible study taking place in the back room. Grateful for coffee shops like this when I’m out of town! We tried the cinnamon vanilla latte, honey vanilla latte, golden cowgirl! All tasted fantastic! The owner was working it, and was so pleasant and kind. Keep grinding and pushing to put good in this world. 🩷

This place was great! The glittery Galaxy was surprisingly good. The s’mores latte, and the golden cowgirl were very good as well. My favorite was the sugar free Door to Door light on the whole milk. This gave it a stronger coffee taste which I prefer and is now my go to when I come to visit Lubbock. Not shown that was good was the coconut lime when you add blue raspberry and glitter.

Demeri reached out quickly to resolve the issue and was very professional. I have been back a few times since and the service has been much better! I know they are typically slower in the Summer so I am hoping it stays that way once school starts back up.

I hate writing a bad review especially for a place I really like, but their service really needs some work. It’s always been pretty slow, but today was the absolute worst. Their food and drinks are some of my favorite in town and I was excited when they got the order ahead set up, but clearly that didn’t fix the long wait issue. I ordered at 10:56am and it said it would be ready at 11:11am, I arrived at 11:10am and the guy at the register just looked lost, I’m assuming it was one of his first days there and he was so flustered. He said they just got slammed and they were still working on it. Okay fine I can wait around a few more minutes, well my drink didn’t end up coming out until 11:22am and then my small pastry I ordered didn’t come out until 10:34am. What’s the point of ordering ahead if I am still having to wait that long to receive my stuff, it’s very disappointing. The poor girl working was working hard and trying to train the guy and get all the orders made, so I felt bad for her. But if you are going to advertise that you are open today and that you want business because the summer is slow for you, maybe staff up a little better. I didn’t even get an apology or anything once I received my items, which was also a little discouraging. I hope you can fix these issues soon.

The hostess is very friendly!
They have different kinds of hot and cold drinks. We ordered a cinnamon roll very good. Yum!
What a nice place! My daughter likes coming here to study, and I see a lot of other students like to come study here too! What a nice place. I brought my book, I'm enjoying it too. The atmosphere is so nice, retro style great place!

I came here with my bf for the first time and was very excited for a good cup of coffee with cold foam. But when I ordered and asked to add cold foam to the Golden Cowgirl, the staff said yes, charged me extra for that and then I received a cup without cold foam. When I asked, the girl said Golden Cowgirl doesn't come with cold foam 🤷🏻‍♀️ the service was bad, and both coffee tasted like water too 👎🏻 spent almost $20 with tips for nothing. Not recommended at all.

The first time I came to Brewed awakening was about a month and a half ago. I visit weekly and have began to notice that afternoon shifts drinks are always quite rather “watered down” with milk. I am a big matcha drinker and have loved theirs but when I have gone in the afternoon past 2pm on usually Tuesdays or Thursdays my drink is always barely green, and they don’t add the strawberry foam. For 10 dollars I would expect better quality considering a large is about 8 plus tip. I have put in the picture my two drinks one from my first time and one from my second to last. I hope they improve.

First time to visit. The staff was very helpful. There were many food and drink options; we tried the breakfast burrito and a strawberry Nutella bagel, which was delicious.

I use to like this place but baristas are slacking, I ordered a hoppin pink bunny matcha and they made it with reg cold foam and very little. I paid almost 18 dollars. When I asked the barista she just said they ran out of strawberry with no apology.
