We only go there for the tomatillo sauce. Nothing else is worth it there.

We came to Chuy’s for my birthday day. Not a great experience. Our waitress was really nice but seem to be busy, the guy brought out our queso not friendly and the lady who brought out our food was not friendly either! Plus the food took forever and one of my teenage had to wait on her food while we started eating ours. Then me and my other teenage order just tacos but they brought the plate which came with rice and beans which we didn’t want and was Charged the plate. The food was okay, My family doesn’t want to come back. :(

Good Tex-Mex. Chips and salsa were delicious. Great for families, not a romantic dinner place. Noisy and very busy.
Parking: Mexican martini wasn't made with olive juice.

Usually have good service here, but the last timee and my family came. We sat at a table for 20mins. Servers walking back and forth not even acknowledging us. We tell the hostess, they get mad and mumble under their breaths and move us to another table. Definitely not coming back anytime soon

Chicken in the Green Enchiladas was dry and tasteless overall, beans looked old like they were under a heat lamp too long. The waiter admitted that he couldn't tell the difference in the green or any other color of sauce; so horrible we couldn't or really didn't want to try and finish this meal, and to me a Stripes or Allsups Burrito would have been better, our last time ever coming here; save your money and maybe try a roadside Burrito Lady.

My husband and I dropped in for an early dinner before leaving town. We should have keep on driving. EVERYTHING on both our plates were completely dry. The Chicken enchiladas were nothing more than dry chicken and a sprinkle of cheese rolled in a flour tortilla with sauce poured over it. I had the burrito bowl, the rice was dry, my beans were missing, the fajita meat was dry, cold and flavorness, and it looked as though the veggies had barley even touched a grill. The only reason I gave two stars was because the waiter was attentive. I highly suggest try a different restaurant if you are looking for good Mexican food.

Last Saturday night my sisters and I ordered some from Chuy’s in Lubbock. Everybody got their orders but me. My sister went back with the receipt I had ordered three cheese enchiladas with a side of creamy jalapeño sauce my sister waited a total of an hour and a half and still didn’t get my order after going in three separate times. I ended up getting McDonald’s Don’t waste your time with Chuy’s in Lubbock.

I usually have a pretty good experience here, but the other night it was pretty bad. My friends and I sat on the patio for dinner. It took 20 minutes (literally) for a server to even acknowledge us. But, this is only after we asked the other server if there was a server where the hostess sat us. She passed us off to another server (after ignoring us for 20 minutes as well). The server that ended up coming to our table seemed annoyed to get another table (even though we were his only one at that point) Maybe he had more tables inside, I don’t know. It took another 20 minutes to be able to order our food. I think he forgot about us. He ended up being nice and less annoyed as the night went on. My husband has been an owner of a restaurant and a GM to several restaurants as well. We met while working in food service, so I guess I just naturally notice things like this. I am usually a
Very generous tipper; most of the time I’ll tip 50% or more if the service and attitude are good, but it was just a disappointing experience that night. I still tipped 18% but honestly, it shouldn’t have even been that much. Also, there was no manager that came on the patio the entire time we were there. I hope our next experience is good. If it is, I will gladly change my review.
We waited at least 20 mins and kept being told that there was no one to clean the tables. They were not busy and almost every single table was dirty in the bar area. We watched 2 of the staff stand around and talk to each other and neither would clean a table for us! They told us it wasn’t their job! My husband went and asked for a cloth so he could clean a table for us to sit down and they handed him the cloth and proceeded to watch him clean the table while they laughed. ( at this point there were 3 staff watching him and laughing., it was absolutely disgusting. We asked for a manager and he was just as bad. All his did was say he had someone coming to clean them and was there anything else we needed. He was very dismissive and rude. Also one of my husbands Tacos had only half meat on it and he pointed it out and they offered to bring another but we were already done and getting ready to leave. NO offer of any compensation! We will NOT ever be back or recommend this place which is sad because we liked it before this horrible experience! Absolutely disgusting!

For starters this is my first review I have ever left in the 2.5 decades I’ve been around, so that’s how you know I had a bad experience.
Food was mid at best. For some reason they put the queso on the bottom of the chimichangas so it’s all dry even after scooping the minuscule amount of queso on top.
Oh and I totally forgot to mention the incompetent staff who stole my girlfriend’s purse. While she may have forgotten at the restaurant; the staff screwed us around by claiming there was no purse or wallet. They don’t even have inside cameras (how safe of them) The following day she receives a call saying they found a wallet on the floor but no purse (how odd indeed you may be thinking).
She then goes to Chuys , only to find out that they gave it away to someone with the exact same name but didn’t even bother to check the ID picture, so how would they know it’s the same name (incompetence, lazy, or thieves I guess that is for the reader to decide).
The following day she receives a call saying that they do in fact have her wallet, but still no purse. Now you may be wondering how that’s possible. Why would a thief steal a purse but no wallet? I guess the thief has a modicum of decency to leave the wallet but still the disgusting morals to take something that isn’t theirs.
Now dear reader while there is humor in this review, make no mistake, everything is true. This location has incompetent staff, thieves and liars in their midst.
Do not waste your time, money, and digestive juices on this mediocre excuse for a restaurant. Be a true American and keep your money in the community by eating at a local restaurant.
Chuys if you are reading this, for God’s sake get inside cameras and teach your staff to be honest and not steal from their customers.

The employees here are shady sad enough even the mangers an employee here stole my sisters purse. She called they said they didnt have it they then called her back saying they found it. Then when she went to go pick it up they said someone with the exact same first and last name came to pick it up how are you going to give that away without checking ID to verify. They then called my sister saying they ended up finding the wallet on the floor the next day. On the first day my sister called and they described the purse to her before given a chance to describe it the person then acted like he had no clue about the purse once my sister showed up. Stop giving the run around and return the purse back.
