A mere 5 minutes away from the TTU campus in central Lubbock, it is THE ideal breakfast spot for any pastry or breakfast snack item that could come to mind. I've been a loyal patron since my first year moving to Lubbock in 2019 when I was greeted with such sincere warmth and hospitality that reflected seamlessly into the service they provide and the products they proudly serve. This review features their famous "Sausage and Cheese Kolaches" and a "Classic Strawberry Sprinkled Donut," paired alongside a "Chocolate Powdered Croissant," and a "Strawberry Cream Cheese Donut." My personal favorites are their two variations of kolaches (that feature a jalapeño & cheese option and a regular sausage & cheese option), their "Blueberry Cake Donut" and "Apple Fritter." I find the quality amongst their regular and seasonal items that they offer to be superb and more delicious each opportunity I get to enjoy them again! The service is simply the best as you can be sure to always be welcomed in with a smile and a pleasant aptitude to deliver the highest quality service available with any qualm one may find themselves needing resolve. Today was no different than any other visit as I was serviced above satisfactory, and I was happily reminded how much my patronage matters on a business and personal level as a fellow member of the community. Can't recommend enough!Parking: Located just West of the establishment is a more than appropriate-sized parking lot to satiate any size of clientele no matter how busy the rush hour.Kid-friendliness: Located just down 19th Street from Lubbock High School, the employees and management here eagerly welcome the students who largely encompass a great portion of their customer demographic.
The donuts are delicious, especially the cinnamon sugar donuts. It's always a good way to start the day. The owners are very friendly and the prices are cheap.

If you're looking for unmatched donuts and kolaches, this is the only place to go. The food is absolutely unreal and the quality is always there. Kim and Rick and always happy to see new people and the service truly makes you feel like you're their favorite customer. It may throw you off when you roll up on the little pink building, but it's truly one of those hole in the wall places that you can never get enough of!
Ms. K is so sweet and patient, every time I come by for lunch she welcomes me with a big smile and the best customer service I’ve seen. My brother and I come by so often she asks “how many kolaches” because we love City Donut’s kolaches. She has recommended I try the blueberry cake and the cinnamon twist donuts and phenomenal would be an understatement.
One of the few places I can go and order anything and always be happy and satisfied. Donuts, kolaches, fritters, whatever- it's all consistently good. The owners are super friendly as well, I can't recommend this place enough for your breakfast stop!
