We had a fantastic first time experience today at Doc's. The food was great, my kids loved it and my parents loved it. The price was fantastic for the amount of food you get. We loved everything we ordered and between the 6 if us, we tried almost all of the side options.

9/25/25 I had the pleasure to be introduced to a fabulous convenient eatery. DOC’S cafeteria is well worth multiple visits. For 12.99, you have a choice of 1 of many meat selections, 5 choices out of many vegetables/sides, regular or jalapeño cornbread, dessert and a drink I had the tender CF steak, green beans with bacon and onions cabbage, okra with tomatoes, cheesy broccoli rice casserole and perfectly prepared macaroni and cheese and yellow cake with thick smooth chocolate frosting. My dining companions enjoyed sweet potatoes and collard greens. What is enchanting about a cafeteria meal is you get to see everything before making your selections. The staff are gracious hosts and hostesses They carried a friends tray to the table. I will be going back. Convenient location and parking.

We don't live in Lubbock but we're looking for a cafeteria style meal. We chose Doc's and it was really good, more food than you can eat, and tasted like home cooked meals. Friendly, clean, price was right. Will definitely go back next time we drive thru Lubbock.👍

First time visit. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a friendly voice and a smile. I asked for suggestions and was told that everything is good. I got the 12.99 buffet. Goodness! It’s a lot of food. Delicious food. I’m a big boy. I have a big appetite. I couldn’t finish the meal. Collard greens are amazing. Yams are like grams used to make. Pork chops, dressing, potatoes, Mac n cheese, all perfect! It’s a lot of food. I tried, but I couldn’t finish everything. I’ll definitely be back. Best soil food I’ve had in YEARS!

The collard greens are delicious. Very generous portions with lots of options. Reminded me of Furrs cafeteria, but the food is a lot better. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for quality comfort food.

Having been to a lot of eateries lately this is one place I thought was one the best out of town places I've been to. Doc's Cafeteria was a soul food and a cajun restaurant wrap up into one with a buffet twist. I think the food was awesome and the hospitality was just as good. If you are ever in Lubbock, Texas I would definitely recommend this place.
