We were celebrating our son's graduation from TTU and we had a eonderful time. Our server, Mac, was fantastic. Personable, knowledgable and gave us a great wine rec.
Our server, Emily, was fantastic. The food was very good. The sides were skimpy though. Baked potatoes should be an option. Best steak I've had in Lubbock. We will return next time we're in Lubbock.
Exceptional service...the food outstanding, and so many yummy menu options. We we're celebrating my sister's wedding anniversary and the waiter made the experience so special. Wecwoll be back!
I'm usually impressed, I wasn't tonight. My filet was so salty I could hardly eat it. The plating of the food was not appealing. Towards the end of our meal, around 8:00 it started to get warm in the building and the music went up. It was clear they were ready for people to leave. The waitress waited for me to sign the check and then took it immediately. Overall pretty disappointed in my recent visit.
Our dining experience at Double Nickel was once again superb. Our food was fantastic. Emily provides such a delightful level of service and expertise. Double Nickel's local steakhouse lifestyle certainly contributes to the quality of life in Lubbock.
Our food was scrumptious. We had 2 filets, a NY Strip and a ribeye all grilled to perfection. The chocolate cake was to die for!!! Our server was outstanding and was friendly with great recommendations. Glorious experience & we will be back!!!
Great steak, amazing service and wonderful staff. I love coming to Double Nickel when I am in town.
The waiter was fine. The decor of the restaurant is still awesome. The food was delicious. But the music was way too loud. And pretty funky. I was with business partners so it was not a big deal, but had I been there with my wife for a relaxing dinner, we may have gotten up and walked out before ordering. I've heard good things about Las Brisas of late, so we may try there next time. And this will totally be because of the music volume at DN.
The ambiance was so nice, as we were easily able to hold a conversation. Most restaurants are sooo loud. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The complimentary martini was a nice touch. As is the case now, the meal was expensive, but it was perfectly prepared and we had leftovers for another meal.
We were passing through and they let us in late. One of the best meals we've had in a while. Top notch.

I walked in wearing a cowboy hat, which I always remove when I sit at a table. The hostess asked if I had dined there before. I said that I had. She said, then you're already aware of our “no hat” policy in the dining area. I said yes and immediately removed my hat. We were then seated. A while later a group of young men wearing baseball caps were allowed to dine with their hats on. My problem is only with that not being enforced, when it was strictly enforced before I was seated. Thanks
Excellent dining experience! Wonderful menu for steak and seafood lovers. Best house salad ever and salmon was a big portion. Atmosphere and restaurant vibe is posh, pretty and comfortable. 5-stars
This is our “celebration” place. Reliably good food, relaxing atmosphere good for conversation.
Overall a great experience - but would Recommend one change: the odor from the spray your team used to clean tables while diners are eating is very unappetizing. Several Of us noticed. Would recommend cleaning product.
Perfect romantic experience, my wife and 1 and a half year old son went here for Valentine's Day dinner. Service was amazing and professional. Food was delicious and fair priced for quality. Would recommend for any Lubbock couple or family to go for special occasions.
