Amazing! For as simple as fried chicken is a lot of places can mess it up... but not here. They're doing it right! Chicken is crispy yet light, meat is tender and juicy, and the sides have some love put into them for sure. The chips and queso was awesome and when we ran out of chips they were happy to give us a fresh batch without us even asking or charging us more. Our kids loved it and ate almost everything on their plate, which is a major win. The green beans were insanely good but all of the sides looked incredible. Lots of different condiments to go with the chicken. If I were to have any negative criticism it would be that I thought the chicken could've benefited from a little more flaky salt out of the fryer. Then again, my taste hasn't been the same since I've had Covid 3 times. Lol Overall a 9/10 for me. Awesome CLEAN atmosphere, great food, and good service.

I was really excited to try this place out. I'm a big fan of Dirks chicken strips and have gone to Neighborhood F&B because they have Dirks chickens strips there as well. When I saw this place open I knew they weren't affiliated with them, but was excited to have a new place that had a focus on chicken to add to the rotation.I've been 3 times now hoping I would enjoy it but each time It just keeps letting down unfortunately. The Good:- The sweet tea is very good. It has the right mixture of sweetness but isn't overpowering. I would say this is probably one of my favorite sweet tea's in Lubbock quite truthfully.- The fries have a good seasoning and have just the right crunchiness so they are quite good. The Bad:- Portion Size. The tenders feel quite small. They seem to be a little smaller than the tenders at Slim Chickens and a couple more dollars than that. I mentioned I love the Dirks Chicken strips earlier and wanting to add a new place to the rotation. The Dirks Chicken strips are about double the size of these strips for just a couple of dollars more, so in general cost to portion size, these don't come close.- Speed. When we came in today, there was only one other occupied table and they were paying as we got there, so we ended up being the only table in the store. We ordered and it took about 20 minutes for our table of 2 to get food. My food came back incorrectly which isn't a big deal. Mistakes happen so I wasn't mad about that, but then to get the right food out took another 15-20 minutes, so by the time it got there it just had to be put in a to go box.- Chicken quality? I don't know if this is the right word or description of this. Each time I've gone the chicken has looked/tasted overcooked and dried out. I'm not sure if this is a chicken thing, an oil thing, the amount of time the chicken is being cooked or exactly what it is.The Mixed Review:Service: The waiter we had was incredibly friendly. When the food came out incorrectly this visit he was incredibly apologetic so that was great to see, so kudos to that. Also because it took almost 45 minutes to get the correct order to us, he did comp out the drinks which was great to see. However, he was behind the bar for most of the time we were there on his phone. We had empty drinks for about 10 minutes, before he finally looked up and realized we were out of drinks. When all the tables are filled, I completely get it, but considering we were the only table in at the time, that really shouldn't be happening.Overall, I really really want to like this place, but it just hasn't hit the mark. The menu has some interesting takes on chicken that I really like and I do think the potential is there for this place, but it seems like there are still some marks that just aren't being hit.

The food was way too expensive. $37.90 before tip for two people. My son had the buffalo flavored wings - way too much sauce, He ate one and couldn't eat the rest. I ordered chicken strips - the gravy was cold and the potatoes cold. The chicken strips were warm, then dip them in gravy and there went the warmth. The cornbread balls were warmer than anything. The curly fries for my son were long strings of potatoes and were cold. Won't be back. And we were like table number 5 - so it wasn't busy.

Went in on a Monday night around 8pm dead no one there and service was very slow ordered the church eggs for appetizer it was the best thing we had the meals were extremely overpriced and crazy small portions for what u pay we took our entire family and no one liked it the food was greasy and bland and the sides no matter adult entree or kids meal come in a saucer cup a very small one at that for what they are charging here the portions should be much bigger I think i had bigger steak fingers at dairy queen definitely won't be back.

Wasn’t really much flavour on the food. The fries were very soggy, and it was very small portion for the amount that I paid for. Wasn’t very happy I felt like I was eating a kids

I can see how good my food could've been if it was made correctly. My sandwich was missing the sauce so it was just dry. The chicken tenders didn't come with their dipping sauce and neither of my entrees came with their roll. Chips and queso were good.

It was just OK. Very expensive for some fried chicken that any fast food chicken place does better. Sides were disappointing and our server was too busy taking call in orders to wait on

We had a great lunch today. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and quiet enough to visit. We really enjoyed the food. They had great iced tea and the gravy was terrific. My favorite was the mac and cheese. The people were really nice. It feels very local.

Found on Instagram and wanted to check it out. Overall a great experience. Good service and quite good food. We had the "church eggs" which are devilled eggs on curly frys, then the steak fingers. I hear then breakfast is quite

This was a one and done for me. The deviled egg appetizer came out immediately because everything was previously made. They were on a bed of soggy cold string fries. The chicken on my spicy chicken was barely warm and had no spice. The brioche bun was cold and hard (but aren't they all). Instead of the advertised pickles it had sliced cucumbers-hard no. The greens were something I didn't recognize so they were removed as well. I ended up eating the chicken and leaving everything else. It didn't appear that anything was made fresh, including the mac and cheese. It tasted just like you would think looking at the picture. My wife's fried chicken had a good flavor but was also dry. She did enjoy the street corn, although it was going to be really messy to eat so she boxed it up and ate at home.

It's really expensive for such little food, the chicken tenders are the size of a child's tender meal. However the flavor is definitely there for the spicy tenders! The curly fries aren't really curly fries, the portions of the food are small and miniature sized. This is a place you make your boss take you, just so he has to pay for expensive food. Maybe if you're a woman, and really don't like the guy who asked you out.Dietary restrictions: If you want small meal portions for high dollar.
