I almost hate leaving a positive review because I love having a place in Lubbock where we can have a great affordable breakfast and not fight crowds day after a game. But good people and good places and good businesses deserve it. If you're looking for a no-frills home-cooked quality breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. Not the fastest, but sometimes it's nice just to slow down and enjoy the people you're with. And usually when we're in Lubbock for a game, we're visiting our daughter. Andthere's nothing more precious than spending time with your children laughing over a home-cooked meal. Note: i'm lazy so use speech to text for most of my reviews. If something doesn't make sense, forgive me, but don't hold it against the restaurant. I promise you I'm college educated. Just a little lazy with my fat fingers and the keyboard.

Always friendly people with great food for the price. My mom and I always go here for breakfast whenever she visits. I always recommend this to my friends for a cheap, filling breakfast

Terrible service. I was served cold biscuits and gravy. I think they had been sitting in the window forever. When my husband sent them back, instead of fresh food, they microwaved it.

Visiting our son. First time here. Hubby & I had breakfast. Omelet and 222. Was great. Son had a lunch plate. We are not picky, but there was no need to be. Good country cooking. We will be back. Might just make this our dinner tradition while our son is in Lubbock. 3 happy tummies.

This is my first time in this little gem. The staff were great - very friendly. Coffee was hot, fresh and my cup never got empty. The food came out in a reasonable time and it was fresh and hot. The flavors were excellent especially the hot sauce. FYI they also know how to make gravy. Some places call it gravy but I’m pretty sure they need to take lessons from George’s. Another great thing is that the place was actually very clean. The salt and pepper shakers actually worked and you didn’t have to shake down the old salt just to get any out. Love, love, love the sugar shaker. It’s so much better than ripping open packets of whole knows what. We definitely plan on making this part of our dining plan. Thank you and Kudos to all the staff here.Parking: Plenty of spots close to the door.Wheelchair accessibility: is a ramp just one door down, the door doesn’t have a step to go up. There are plenty of tables to move around to provide space for wheelchair.

George's Cafe -4th str is a medium-sized restaurant but with enough space, their breakfasts are freshly made and to your order, the omelet lover was very delicious, as well as the fried eggs arrived as we ordered them, everything was really delicious, the attention that We received was very good and continuous, the girl who attended us was very friendly, the hygiene is also good, there is an atmosphere of harmony in this place from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, we liked it very much, we will return!!!

I only wish they had high or tall tables for those with knee and hip problems.

Went upon other Yelp reviews and was SO pleased that I did. I was looking for a good breakfast place, not one that is trying be a frilly and fancy. I was seated, greeted and waited on in a very quick manner. Wait staff was smiling and friendly. Thank You for being a GREAT place to eat. Highly Recommended!!!!

I walked in and there was maybe two tables with two people each that were already sat and had their order. Two girls and a man were up at the counter and they told us to sit wherever we like when they saw us walk in. So we did and me and my BF were talking 5 minutes go by and no one had to come to the table 10 minutes goes by still no waitress had come to the table. Right before the 15 minute mark I said let's go. I know the food here is delicious I would rather support a local business than a chain and I wanted a good breakfast and to at least be attended to in general. I've waited tables I know it gets busy I know it can be hard at times. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and there is no excuse as to why that happened. Very disappointed and not sure if I'll go back.

Took the family here for breakfast around 8:30 on 1/6. When we walked in, they told us to sit wherever we like. Our server was kind and attentive. My coffee was good and smooth, not bitter at all. I ordered the meat lovers omelette. It was okay. The hash browns were cooked appropriately, and they were good with the salsa that came with the meal. The toast came buttered, and I added some of the jelly at the table. Overall, we enjoyed an okay meal and had a good time.

Absolutely love their breakfast! Great options at affordable prices, and the service is usually very quick. The restaurant is clean, conveniently located next to the loop, and the employees are always very welcoming.
