Gold Stripe on Slide Road is my favorite place to catch a cup of coffee and a conversation with friends and clients. The service is excellent and the coffee is outstanding. I also love their lemonade.
Tried this shop this morning on my way out of town after recommendations from my family in Lubbock. The place is clean, welcoming, and I was greeted kindly as soon as I walked in. I didn’t know what I was looking at since there are so many options and, apparently, so many different ways to make coffee. The barista, Victoria, who helped me decide on an iced latte was so sweet and answered every question I had. I will have to come back in September when I visit Lubbock again....
Decaf mocha latte tasted awful. I should've taken it back, it literally stunk also. I just threw it away. Oatmeal was good but it was cold, overnight oats, not that appealing. Bagged coffee was way too expensive for the taste. Probably won't return. There are other coffee shops here in Lubbock that serve fresh breads and pastries with delicious coffee that are more enticing.
