From the moment you walk in, itâs clear that this location thrives on teamwork and dedication. Alex, who works tirelessly behind the scenes as both a busser and dishwasher, is truly the backbone of the operation on the weekends. Many guests may not immediately see how much effort goes into keeping a restaurant running smoothly, but it becomes obvious when you pay attention. Alex is constantly moving â clearing tables quickly and efficiently, ensuring dishes are removed from each table, and stepping in wherever help is required. What stands out most is that he does all of this with a positive attitude. His work ethic contributes directly to the clean, welcoming environment that keeps customers comfortable.
Mari and Destiny both servers embody what true customer service should look like. They are attentive without being intrusive, friendly without being forced, and genuinely seem to care about each guestâs experience. They consistently check in at the right times, make thoughtful recommendations, and handle special requests with patience and kindness. During busy rushes â which is often when I visit â they remain composed, organized, and efficient. Itâs impressive to watch them manage multiple tables while still making each guest feel acknowledged and valued.
If I had to offer one area for improvement, it would simply be the timing of the food reaching the table. There have been occasions where the wait felt a bit longer than expected. I came here tonight with my boyfriend to celebrate being together for a year and a half! Itâs kind of a tradition at this point and this was our first time at this IHOP. We had Destiny as our server and she was amazing! She was warm and friendly and we had some great conversations! Our food was absolutely delicious and was brought out very fast even though there were a few other tables that Destiny was also taking care of. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

I had originally come on here to leave a review about the entire night shift and to acknowledge how well they work together, even when the atmosphere is strained and the workload is heavy. However, as I was reading through the existing reviews, I came across one that specifically mentioned Destiny and alleged that she made a comment about a particular table having previously tipped only 68 cents. I feel compelled to correct that statement because it is not accurate. Destiny was not my server that evening, but I was seated in the booth directly beside that table on Saturday night and clearly heard the exchange in question. The conversation began after a young woman at that table asked Destiny about her job and how she liked working there and whether or not IHOP was hiring. Destiny, in a calm and professional manner, and with a genuine smile, responded that she truly enjoys her job and working at the restaurant. She acknowledged that, like any serving position, it can sometimes be discouraging when tables tip small amounts such as 89 cents or a dollar, especially because the staff works hard for their earnings, but she also made it very clear that she does not allow those moments to affect her attitude or ruin her day. Told the young lady that they were hiring where to go to scan a QR code at the front for an application and proceeded to stay attentive to them for the duration of their visit. At no point did she directly reference that table in the way the review suggested. I am only making this comment because I also work in the service industry, and I understand how quickly words can be misinterpreted or repeated out of context. Statements made, especially by younger guests, can unintentionally jeopardize someoneâs employment. That would be deeply unfortunate, particularly when it does not reflect what was actually said. I would hate to see any employee lose their job over a misunderstanding, especially at a restaurant whose night shift I genuinely enjoy and respect for their teamwork and professionalism.

She kneels down to their level to talk with them, listens to their stories about school like theyâre the most important conversations in the world, and remembers their favorite orders and little preferences without ever having to ask. Destiny has turned our weekly dinner into a family tradition we all look forward to. In the middle of the dinner rush, she still manages to make us feel like weâre the only table in the room.
