Till other wise proven Josie's has the best burritos in town. Never had a burrito craving that was not satiated by a Josie's choice. Now I've only ever fulfilled my breakfast desires here but dayyyym they good. Ifbyou a big boy or just a big appetite try a Big Mamma.

Terrible burrito. The tortillas are from Walmart.
It's been MANY years since I enjoyed a Mamma Josie's breakfast taco. I'm happy to say, they're just as good as I remember!!! Great service and a super tasty breakfast. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks, Josie's!!!

I placed an order and finally got it an hour later. Open the bag I found no hot sauce. Then I proceed to open up my burritos that I ordered them. Both of them were wrong. I’ve given this place numerous chances and I’m done. I will never Order from them again. This place is really gone downhill

Burritos are good, but I was given a rotten orange juice which I had to toss. Not their fault, but need to be more careful with their storage and purchasing of perishable goods.

I recently moved back to Lubbock. I had a craving for a breakfast burrito & remembered Josie’s. Well, after this morning, I wish I could completely erase this establishment from my memory. I ordered 2 breakfast plates. When I arrived home, I opened the containers to find 2 scoops of potatoes, a scrambled egg, MAYBE 2 (definitely not 3), 4 corn tortillas & a salsa cup that contained the canned guisada meat. Very disappointing as the eggs & potatoes had no flavor, whatsoever, & the joke of a serving (of carne) had a couple of pieces of meat in the gravy. $20 for an inedible breakfast. Not to mention the attitude coming from the employees. OH, The best part was- an employee was putting salsa in to-go containers right across from the drive thru. Flies were landing all, over the open container. The salsa bin was sitting on a chair to make it easier to scoop out into the to-go container and that chair and surrounding items were filthy. Not just dusty, but…FILTHY! I’m surprised the health inspector hasn’t paid them a visit. (Pic in comments)
Ordered 2 breakfast plates. One included carne guisada. The amount of carne guisade is an absolute JOKE! It came in a salsa cup. ABDOLUTELY OVERPRICED!!!!!!!! Not to mention terrible customer service. Attitude deluxe!
Don't waste your time with this nonsense. This is certainly not the place it was when it originally opened.
I will NEVER go back.
These people don’t listen to when you order. I ordered one burrito with extra cheese and a Pepsi. I ended up with two burritos with no cheese and no Pepsi. The burritos weren’t even good, they tasted old and some of the meat in it was crunchy.
Very frustrated customer. Not sure if anyone else has had this experience but this is what happened to me:
I asked politely if prices have changed cause I don't think I was charged correctly. She said she thinks they have cause when she rings up a burrito the register shows $6. So I showed her receipt and said I didn't even get charged $6 I got charged $7.45. She said idk maybe cause of inflation? I stared at her with a smile. She asked if I wanted to talk to manger.
She said I think everything has gone up. I said no I don't think so. What your menu shows for chips and added cheese is still the same.
Out of respect for friendships my family and I have, I walked away without making a bigger stink about it. But I left very concerned and disappointed.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has been given an explanation as to why their prices don't match the menus provided.
Also. I paid with a debit card but receipt shows cash. I wonder if management knows.

Take to long to complete order
Super friendly and polite, but they use ground beef instead of actual carne asada for too much. Also, they don't use oaxaca for quesadillas and they charge for water. People are super nice though! Certain dishes are absolutely amazing there so I don't want to knock it too much. Just don't order anything that normally has flank steak because they use ground beef.
Been going here often for a few years. They have a big mamma that’s just a bigger tortilla so bigger burrito. Been here twice in a week and all of a sudden there are rules to the ingredients that go inside. Never heard this before. Both times I was told of different ingredients that are mandatory. Just not very customer oriented and no care. The delivery was even worse.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I love Josie’s with a passion and last night I had ordered them through DoorDash and I got a bag of chips and a thing of queso with a large Dr Pepper. Both of those things came out to $17.46. But as you can tell, look at the bag, it is extremely greasy. The queso is really watery and had a funky taste to it as well. I’m highly disappointed in Jose’s and they won’t give me a refund. Needless to say the Dr Pepper tasted flat and didn’t have flavor either… #WhompWhomp 🫤
