This place was designed well - even has a fireplace, how cozy is that. Farmhouse furniture. The did was great, I had a half a French dip and potato soup. Delicious. My friend has a quiche which looked amazing.Place was clean. Oh we went on eclipse day and they gave us special glasses that we didn't burn our eyes looking at the sun lol. The desserts hair look amazing. I'll be back for those very soon.

Not appreciative of the rude staff and egotistical attitudes I was met with today. Asked for the blueberry cream cheese crepe and was told they were out, but the staff then proceeded to serve that very item to other customers. Not cool. My cup of the French-brewed coffee was cold. Lame. La madeleine is somehow incapable of doing the bare minimum. That is unacceptable for the prices they are charging. Also, why is bread only being served three times a day? Insane and unnecessary behavior.

Used to enjoy coming here. Not sure how things became so horrible. The only reason my family visited today is because I’m constipated from surgery and this restaurant has a 100% make-your-stomach-hurt rate, which usually results in a long and unpleasant bathroom trip. Somehow half of my pasta is always cold while the other part is hot. They’ve now also established that you can only get complimentary bread at the following times only: 9:00am, 12:00pm, and 3:00pm. So I guess that just… sucks for you if you come at any other time?The food is expensive and sub par. I do not recommend this place at all. Find literally anywhere else to eat.

I ordered a bowl of corn chowder last night and it was soured. This was at 7:30 PM. I took it back to the counter and told them and they tasted it and they agreed that it was not right. It was also a funny brown color. I ordered something else, and they said I would have to pay seven more dollars so I did. I waited approximately 20 minutes and went back up to the counter and my food was still not ready. I went back up there again and it wasn’t ready so the third time I went back, I told him I wanted to refund and all of a sudden he said my food was ready. By the end, my son had finished eating and we were ready to go. I was very disappointed with the food and the service last night. It was just a bunch of kids that didn’t know what they were doing. I asked for the manager and there was not one. I’ve called twice today and asked for Faith, the GM, and they say she’s not there and they do not know when she will be there.

I've been to other locations that are phenomenal, but I would avoid this one. Our order was wrong and my crepe was the size of the palm of my hand and cold for $10.99. The espresso machine was also out. This place is not worth spending your money at.

Had this place for the first time on Saturday 2/17/24 I ordered the Croque Monsieur with a side of caesar salad and my husband ordered the French Dip Au with the side of Tomato basil pesto pasta. We picked up our order and headed home. Once we got home we notice they didn't give us the Au Jus dip so my husband called and they apologized and he said he was headed back up there. Which sucked because we live past 1585 and we had to go back all the way to 82nd and Quaker just for dip. But our fault for not checking our meal before leaving their establishment. Once we were almost there a gentlemen called us and said they didn't have any in which my husband replied okay we'll does that mean you're going to refund me my meal because with out the dip its just a beef sandwich? the gentlemen replied he would have to ask his manager. He then got back on the phone and stated that they would pull some back out and have some ready for him when he got there - how crazy and unprofessional?! all this trouble for some basic food with no flavor. Yeah we'll more than likely never order from this place again nor recommend it.

Have been to several La Madelein establishments this one is below standards. The pasta dishes had no flavor and for $50 for two people. The food was horrible best part of our meal was the breadstick. Also your front counter gentleman has a hair net on with long curly hair all his curls are hanging outside the net. Unacceptable and he was the runner for the food SMH.
