During my recent trip to Lubbock, Texas, I embarked on a crucial culinary mission: locating the perfect, authentic spot for pan dulce, and I struck gold when I discovered Mi Panaderia Bakery. This adorable little shop is the quintessential travel find, immediately charming me with its warm atmosphere and intoxicating aroma of cinnamon and freshly baked yeast. Stepping inside, I was delighted to find display cases brimming with pristine conchas, cuernos, and empanadas, each one looking better than the last. Every single pastry I sampled was strikingly fresh and undeniably delicious, truly confirming that Mi Panaderia is the premier destination for Mexican sweet bread in the area. This local bakery is now firmly bookmarked on my itinerary, and I will absolutely be stopping by again next time I’m in Lubbock.

Great selection at a great price! The lady that works there is nice and the customers in the store like to recommend their favorites. I don't believe there is anywhere else in town where you can get a full bag of pastries for under ten dollars.

Stopped in early this morning to get pan dulce for some new hires that were starting today. In my experience, if you go early, you get the freshest bread…not in this case. I feel I bought yesterdays bread. Nothing was fresh, everything stale. Most panaderías will have leftover bread sectioned separately, with proper signage and at times discounted. I paid $16 for stale bread that was nearly impossible to eat. I will give this place another try as so many rave about it but I will inquire what is old compared to fresh, if I have to, I will take a bite and pay before purchasing $16 worth again.
Good assortment of pastries and some truly unique. Limited parking but there is a drive thru. I didn't get to try a maranito, I believe that one flies quick.
