Small old school building. Enough to seat a few people inside. The cook/server/cashier is an Army/Airforce veteran owned who does everything. Great honorable man who seems to know everyone that comes in. Great price for great BBQ.

Don't be fooled by the exterior! The ribs were the best we've ever eaten and the hospitality of Mr. Powell, an Air Force veteran, was unmatched. We felt as if we were invited into his home for a meal. We were only visiting Lubbock for the weekend, but we would definitely eat here again and again and again.

This guy has been here since 1973. How do so many people not know about this place? Old building that might make you not want to stop but you won't regret it if you do. I don't really even like brisket but I left there almost sick because I ate so much. I had the fall off the bone ribs, sausage, and brisket plate. Cheap prices and awesome food. I'll be back! Give it a try.

Small old shack. Owner is retired Air Force and made me feel like I was eating at an old friend's house. Good prices and the ribs were fall off the bone and tasty. Brisket goes well in a sandwich, and the beans and potato salad were great too. Paid $11 for a two meat plate and drink.

This place is THE epitome, of down-home good bbq!!! This gentleman has been here, for over 37 years. He loves, what he does!!! An awesome war veteran, who makes great food. As I walked out, he said, "You set, man. All you got to do is eat." I got home, and was in a bliss, for the next twenty minutes. Bbq was amazing! Beans, were on-point! Potato salad, was great!!! He's open, for a small window, but I'll be finding myself, to his door, on a regular basis!!! Mmhmmmmm...

Amazing hidden gem in Lubbock for top-notch bbq. It's cash only. You can't beat the price for the quality. It's a small hole in the wall that has been consistent every time I've been here.

Stopped in on a Saturday late morning. Great quality food and the price can’t be beat. $22 total for a rib plate and a 2 meat plate. Comes with beans and potato salad and 2 rolls. Highly recommend!

Great food, great service. Gotta check out Powell’s if you get a chance. Powell is a character you just have to meet.

This is an amazing, old-school barbecue joint. Run by a veteran, with friends playing dominoes and the best, most tender ribs around.

Good food, unbeatable price for BBQ, and you just feel so welcome. I will for sure be back. $11 for a 2 meat plate. My friend and I ordered the ribs and brisket that came with beans and potato salad. Also, 2 waters and it was $24 bucks. ❤️
