Nice little local bakery, with a very nice owner-manager ready to brighten your day. Located next to the Kingstreet Pub & Steakhouse, across from Dollar General in the back corner of Melonie Square shopping center. (82nd St & Indiana Ave) Find this treasure spot once, you can come back blindfolded! *Tip: planning to serve Wine! I bought some great pastries for the rest of my drive back home. All I can write for now!

Sweet young lady served us. It is partners with the King Street Pub. All the pastries and the coconut cake was wonderful

Best pastries ever!! Had a lovely conversation with the lady working the counter. I can't wait to be back (10/10 recommend the bear claws, they are PERFECT)!

Two Words. Coconut Cake.You. Want. This. I promise! As I told the lovely Ms Karen, The only regret that I have about buying a slice of that incredibly delectable cake, is that I didn't buy 2 slices! (Or really, the whole thing!) Light, fluffy, sweet & dreamy, like your grandmas feather bed, it was Nothing short of AMAZING. I also had the Almond Tarte, which even a week later (kept in a tupperware bowl) was delicate and decadent. Unfortunately, We live in the Permian Basin, 2 hours away, and cannot enjoy this place all of the time. But if you find yourself in Lubbock, I HIGHLY Recommend stopping by. Also, The Kings Road Pub Next door; we didn't eat there, (it was 10:30 am) but it has a wonderful decor and atmosphere. It transports you to somewhere besides the Texas plains. The Owner was rather pleasant and welcoming as well.

So disappointed! It was my favorite place the first year and a half or so...excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable employees. When the counter help changed, things went downhill fast... few if any post and pics of products available, the phone was not answered, product selections decreased. I got stale products a couple of times and left with nothing several times because they were out or no longer making my favorites. I tried calling a couple of times after seeing a post that they were open, but the recording was weeks old. I stopped in last Thursday and found one of my favorite items, but the shop looked dirty...handprints all over the door, the floor needed sweeping and mopping...just generally in need of cleaning.

So delicious! We tried a little bit of everything and were very impressed. My favorite was the frangipani tart.

The pastries are amazing! There isn't anything that isn't good at this establishment. The owners are kind people and they are locally owned! Please make sure to go check them out!

They have amazing baked goods and cheeses. We used to go often for the mini cinnamon rolls but they stopped making them. So sad.

I went to Queen of Tarts on a Thursday at 5:00 p.m.. I expected dry pastries since it was so late in the day but that was NOT the case. Everything we bought tasted fresh. Their cinnamon rolls were the best I ever had.Went back on a Thursday around 5:00 and the cinnamon rolls were very dry and the little pumpkin pies were mostly crust and they were dry.
