This morning I stopped to pick up a kolache and a couple of donuts. Although they had been open for a while, there were only a few donuts to choose from. I passed on the donuts but ordered a kolache. The kolache was a good 4.5 inches in diameter. After 4 bites into the gummy dough, I had still not reached any of the filling. I broke it open and discovered they had only put less than a tablespoon of filling in the kolache. Really? This is a $4.00 kolache. There have been several other incidents with this store that are similar to other posts. Let me just say this: I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO SHIPLEY DONUT ON 19TH STREET.
Shipley Owner, don't write the same canned reply as you did in every other negative review. Try to show ownership for the bad service and some genuine concern for your customers.

Waited at the drive through window for over 5 minutes while the employee was having a casual conversation with a customer, I tried to get her attention, but she turned her back as she didn’t see me. Customers behind me started to leave because it was taking so long.Then she came through the drive-through window and had a nasty attitude and asked how can she help me? Based on her attitude and the weight, I ended up, not ordering anything. She said, have a good day and slam the window.

I have been to this shipleys 4 times in the span of one week, because all this pregnant lady has wanted is a kolache. And what have they not had for FOUR days this week? Kolaches. I’ve been at 8 ive been at 9 ive been at 11 trying to get me in a window where they are made but they never have ANY. Not a singular one. Then they proceeded to tell me its going to be an HOUR to make me one. Who has an hour to wait on a kolache that should be made already. On top of that the lady was SO RUDE about not having any like it was my fault. Do better because this is insane. If i could leave 0 stars i would

The closing time on the doors say 2 pm, yet when I arrived here today at 1:14, the doors were locked. What the hell?? The lights were on and donuts were displayed, but no employee was in sight. This isn't even the first time this has happened at this location. I understand if you're understaffed and someone had to take a lunch break or whatever, but can you at least but a damn sign indicating that?? This is ridiculous!

Grabed a coffee and donut super early, Luckily Carol was working the window, I see luckily because she was super upbeat and friendly! I was actually convinced that she was the owner because of how much care and attention she took to the order, a pretty particular about how I like my coffee in the morning and she made me a great cup! I highly suggest you go early in the morning to get wonderful service here. 10 out of 10 will be going back for the simple fact of Great customer care. Oh and coffee and donate were excellent also.

No one ever answered the window there’s people in there I can see and no one came to the window then after almost 20 minutes he come now I remember not to come here during school Hours

We are big fans of Shipley Doughnuts, but they have been out of apple fritters the last 3 or 4 times we've gone there. We have gone around 11:30am on Saturdays. Give the people what they want ???But we still love them. My kids just order pink sprinkles instead ;)

Ordered online to pick up in person. When we got there, they were out of the kolaches we ordered and no one knew how to get us a refund, they basically just told us to figure it out on our own. They were also out of a lot of the donuts we ordered and replaced them with whatever they felt like and didn’t bother to tell us they’d been replaced. Maybe try using your words and actually using the most basic customer service skills, or find another job.
