Food was amazing serving staff amazing I miss Wednesday evening meals when semester is over
Tried their buffet lunch today. Great location on the 9th floor over looking some of the Texas Tech campus. Background, this is a training restaurant for the Texas Tech . Very reasonabling priced, great service and overall the food is good. Nice salad and baked potato bar. Four different main courses to choose from. Okay, here we go... I had the lasagna with sausage and a side of pasta. The highlight for me was the dessert selection. I had cherry cobbler, poppy seed cake with a lemon chiffon icing that was Great! Oh, also had a bite of the pecan pie. Washed it all down with a good cup of coffee. Tipping the wait staff goes into supporting the program. So parents when u visit your kids, stop and have lunch/dinner at Sky view . You will not be disappointed.
Update; tried Skyview for lunch again today. Menu was salad bar and Mexican 🌮 food. Beef fajitas tasty and tender, enchiladas( cheese) and all the trimming. Again, I am recommending for u to try this place.
P.S. total transparency, my granddaughter is part of this semesters class working here. If u want good service with a friendly smile sit in her section.

We had a great lunch at Skyviews. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. The salad bar was ample and the choices were plentiful. Each day there is a different theme. We had pot roast and chicken tenders. The drink is not included in the price. We like the environment which is peaceful. Even though it is included in Open Table, there is no one to check you in. Their schedule is connected with Texas Tech .
Wednesday is Mexican menu, but coming from New Mexico, I prefer our food. Tortilla soup was excellent but tacos could have been better. Enchiladas were good.

The lunch buffet today was very cold, the food tasted good but cold. It's really hard to get passed cold shrimp and grits. Views are great, Love the concept, menu choice great. Price was great. I hope tech allows the funds to fix whatever is wrong with the buffet steam tables. Cold food is a huge risk. I will be returning to try a dinner series next couple of weeks nevertheless.
Such a great experience:

Great experience. Food selection tip s excellent. Great value. I like supporting the scholarship program as well.
We ordered the Red Snapper entree. In my opinion, that was not a Red Snapper. The Red Snapper had a dusting of something on the Red Snapper that was uninspiring. The accompanying sauce for the Red Snapper was extremely spicy. A delicate white fish, like a Red Snapper, need a delicate sauce, not a spicy sauce. A spicy sauce was used to disguise how uninspiring the fish was, in my opinion. The empanadas had pie crust dough. It should have had a pastry dough recipe and the meat was spicy. I doubt that was a recipe from Spain. The asparagus was a little woody. The desert was excellent. My wife said that the salad was excellent.
Great food and EXCELLENT wait service..

We had an outstanding luncheon at Skyviews! I started with a light salad and after adding a bit of everything it was rather hearty, still delicious.
The artichoke chicken had great flavor and was perfectly prepared - very tender yet fully cooked.
I almost passed on the Italian beef and glad I changed my mind. It was so tender and with a lovely taste- I had several veggies and preferred the beef with the rice. Delicious together!
Almost forgot we tried the wonton nachos and they were great. Finished with a warm dish of pecan pie. Yummy! The Skyviews staff were attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed the view and could see the Going Band practicing on campus. I’m looking forward to our next visit.

I’ve been a few times for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it! However, tonight was a total bust. Not sure if it was an off night, but my husband and I went to the German themed dinner series and were sorely disappointed. It was not a good value or experience for a cost of $90. We should have spoken to someone but we’re just a bit surprised.
Our pretzel was soggy, the braised beef was poor quality (not even sure if they used USDA Choice), and the strudel was soggy and just totally mush. The hostesses were great! Our table service left a bit to be desired…

Nice restaurant for special occasions or even casual dining. Cuisine is always fantastic with different themes each week. View of Lubbock from the top of Skyviews is like none other!
Spare ribs were quite fatty, but the rest of the meal was delicious. Service was good. Nice setting allowing for conversation.
The restaurant is super clean, has great fresh well prepared food, and the service is excellent. Best dining for lunch in Lubbock and the view is wonderful.
The students do an incredible job. The views from the top floor are excellent. Both the salad bar and the buffet were well stocked fresh and delicious. Definitely a must return location in Lubbock.
