Good bakery

Walked in to see what cake selection they had and was met with a very rude response by the two ladies behind the counter. I asked if they had any entire cakes for sale (as I needed one for a birthday party) they again brushed me off saying they did not understand what I said at all and told me to just look at what they had on display. I am all about supporting local businesses but I refuse to support one as rude as this. Went to La madeleine instead and received great customer service!

Are swim team at covenant decide to give one of our ladies a 90th Birthday, we couldn't get the party room, but when we got there they had tables set up for 20 they even put table cloths on the tables. Everyone went above and beyond to make her Birthday special. Even the owner came out and made sure everything was perfect. This is our 2nd time and will be back. God bless yall.

I strongly advise against ordering decorated cookies from Sugarbakers. I placed a custom order for a graduation with specific instructions, and what I received was the complete opposite. The cookies were poorly done—messy and amateurish, as if a child had decorated them.

When I requested a refund, I was told that the owner personally decorated them and that they would not issue a refund, only store credit. While that might be acceptable under other circumstances, I live out of town and the event begins in two hours. There’s no time to find an alternative.

Sugarbakers used to be great when I lived in Lubbock, and perhaps it still is for some items—but if you’re looking for professionally decorated cookies, look elsewhere. This experience was both disappointing and, frankly, laughable given the quality of what was delivered.

Chicken salad was dry- needed more mayonnaise, and unclear to order. I ordered in the drive through and asked for chicken salad on white. I didn’t know there were 2 kinds and I had to specify that I wanted the cranberry. The lady at the window was not friendly and I didn’t get what I wanted. It was on plain store bought white bread, my drink was tiny, and my total was almost $17.00. The muffin was undercooked in the middle. I could have made better myself at home for half the price. Unbelievably overpriced for what I got, which wasn’t even what I wanted. Also, the drive through doesn’t have prices listed.

The Sugarbaker Special was a good choice. I got to try three kinds of sandwiches, soup and fruit. My companions thought the tuna salad was a little dry. Everything else was great.

I had the tuna sandwich. Their wheat bread is pretty light, but the tuna was fantastic. Next time I'll do the tuna salad plate with the fruit. My friend had quiche and the fruit. She enjoyed it a lot. We will return. I thought expensive, but that is everywhere you go these days. It's a very nice lunch place.

I used to come to Sugar bakers with my two best friends before we retired so when my granddaughter suggested we eat there I eagerly agreed. The prices were very high. We each got a sandwich, chips,a drink, and a slice of pie which cost us $50! My food was fine. My granddaughter's BLT was flat...had almost nothing in it. We were served by bored looking teenage girls. It was, unfortunately, a disappointment and a waste of money.
