Our server, Alondra, was amazing! Food was great. Environment was a little loud but it was super busy. Our first time here, definitely will be back when in Lubbock. ❤️👆🖤

This place takes me right back to the amazing Mexican food I loved in California. Authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked dishes. I have been looking for great Mexican food here and I finally found it. You can see why the parking lot is packed!

A Lubbock Landmark Worth Supporting

Jalisco’s has been a staple in Lubbock for decades, and every time I visit from out of town, I’m reminded why. The food is consistently excellent, the staff are hardworking and welcoming, and their top-shelf margaritas are truly top-tier. It’s a place that reflects the best of hospitality and tradition.

Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the experience was marred by the behavior of a few fellow White (who referred to themselves as “muds”) patrons in the lobby. While waiting to be seated, the nearby family made inappropriate and racially insensitive remarks, assuming my husband and I didn’t speak English in relation to the hostess possibly being racist against them because they assumed my husband and I would be seated first despite ALL OF US knowing that they were in line before us. Their comments were not only offensive but completely unprovoked. I stood up, cleared my throat, glared them down, and made it clear that their behavior was unacceptable, and thankfully, they quieted down, but not without a few dirty looks as they were being seated.

It’s disheartening, especially in times like these, to witness such ignorance in a space that celebrates culture and community. Jalisco’s deserves patrons who appreciate and respect the environment the owners and staff have worked so hard to create. I sincerely hope the restaurant continues to thrive and remains a cherished part of Lubbock’s culinary scene.

Being from Houston Food was ok. I had better. Queso was truly not it. Tasted like it was out of a can. The rice lacked flavor was so bland. The cocktail I had didnt taste like it had any alcohol in it. When we first arrived we waited at the front to be seated for a good moment for some place that isn't even busy and for waitresses to be standing around and starring you down. Will not be back to this place but will give other Mexican restaurants a try.

Came in past weekend, food was extremely salty. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, came in today to order something totally different. Same result. Exremely, extremely, salty food. Its almost like they did it on purpose.
