The plaza Restaurant and Bar is a large and beautiful restaurant with several areas, its food is fresh and delicious, the salmon that I ordered was soft and very tasty, the enchiladas were very delicious, 100 points for the chef, the attention they offered us It was friendly, continuous and professional, they have a great team that works in harmony transmitting good vibes to the customer, their atmosphere is relaxed and familiar, happy faces around me, very good hygiene, their dishes are very well designed. We were very pleased to have dined at this Beautiful and pleasant restaurant, I recommend it, we will return!

Lubbock is chock full of Mexican restaurants, so it's no surprise that many of them have been popping up in the more high end segment. If you want a more low light, dark leather, and intimate experience than say Rosa's, The Plaza is a better bet. Perhaps the biggest difference is the presence of a full bar here. Food is good with a nice variety of healthier veggie heavy choices. It doesn't deviate much from the standard Mexican food variety you expect most places. The quality and flavor is marginally better, while the prices are much higher - it's $22 for a dinner order of fajita combo with chicken and beef. The most popular menu item from my family is the fried mushrooms, though I don't feel especially that these are true Mexican fare. Service here has been okay. I never had a huge issue to complain about. The waiting staff seems like mostly high school and college students. The manager comes around every now and then to greet each table. It's worth a visit once a month for a nicer meal.
We went to the new Plaza on slide but this one night....The food was great and our waitress was awesome!! The night manager was so rude and was very tacky to us. We were asking a question to an employee and he jumps in and was mean to us. I mean like a real Asshole!!! So we will never go back . We frequently this place a lot and now Never again!!!

We have lived in Lubbock for about 8 months and we eat out a lot. This restaurant has been the friendliest service and we love the atmosphere. Highly recommend ! Bryan, one of the managers there is our favorite ! So friendly and helpful !

We ordered drinks and food , my wife got her food and I ordered ground beef stuffed pepper and discovered it was chicken only after my wife had almost finished her food, the waiter was told and offered to make my plate over I agreed, now I get my food and now my wife is finished with her food. The manager brings me a to go tray. The more I think about it the more upset I got, I refused to take my food home and left hungry and still payed for both plates. Manager never offered to comp my plate. I told my wife I'm old school and believe you should get what you pay for. Will not be going back to this location again, we have been going to the milwaukee location for several years and have never had an issue. Will be looking around for other restaurants in future suggest you do the same.
